Revert "mmc: dw_mmc: Fix IDMAC operation with pages bigger than 4K"

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "mmc: dw_mmc: Fix IDMAC operation with pages bigger than 4K" The commit 8396c793ffdf ("mmc: dw_mmc: Fix IDMAC operation with pages bigger than 4K") increased the max_req_size, even for 4K pages, causing various issues: - Panic booting the kernel/rootfs from an SD card on Rockchip RK3566 - Panic booting the kernel/rootfs from an SD card on StarFive JH7100 - "swiotlb buffer is full" and data corruption on StarFive JH7110 At this stage no fix have been found, so it's probably better to just revert the change. This reverts commit 8396c793ffdf28bb8aee7cfe0891080f8cab789

mptcp: cope racing subflow creation in mptcp_rcv_space_adjust

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: cope racing subflow creation in mptcp_rcv_space_adjust Additional active subflows - i.e. created by the in kernel path manager - are included into the subflow list before starting the 3whs. A racing recvmsg() spooling data received on an already established subflow would unconditionally call tcp_cleanup_rbuf() on all the current subflows, potentially hitting a divide by zero error on the newly created ones. Explicitly check that the subflow is in a suitable state before invoking tcp_cleanup_rbuf().

net/mlx5: fs, lock FTE when checking if active

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: fs, lock FTE when checking if active The referenced commits introduced a two-step process for deleting FTEs: - Lock the FTE, delete it from hardware, set the hardware deletion function to NULL and unlock the FTE. - Lock the parent flow group, delete the software copy of the FTE, and remove it from the xarray. However, this approach encounters a race condition if a rule with the same match value is added simultaneously. In this scenario, fs_core may set the hardware deletion function to NULL prematurely, causing a panic during subsequent rule deletions. To p

mm: krealloc: Fix MTE false alarm in __do_krealloc

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: krealloc: Fix MTE false alarm in __do_krealloc This patch addresses an issue introduced by commit 1a83a716ec233 ("mm: krealloc: consider spare memory for __GFP_ZERO") which causes MTE (Memory Tagging Extension) to falsely report a slab-out-of-bounds error. The problem occurs when zeroing out spare memory in __do_krealloc. The original code only considered software-based KASAN and did not account for MTE. It does not reset the KASAN tag before calling memset, leading to a mismatch between the pointer tag and the memory tag, resulting in a false positive. Example of the

mm: resolve faulty mmap_region() error path behaviour

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: resolve faulty mmap_region() error path behaviour The mmap_region() function is somewhat terrifying, with spaghetti-like control flow and numerous means by which issues can arise and incomplete state, memory leaks and other unpleasantness can occur. A large amount of the complexity arises from trying to handle errors late in the process of mapping a VMA, which forms the basis of recently observed issues with resource leaks and observable inconsistent state. Taking advantage of previous patches in this series we move a number of checks earlier in the code, simplifying

Address the issue that occurs under heavy load when multiple threads are concurrently modifying MAC/VLAN filters by setting mac and port VLAN. 1. Thread T0 allocates a filter in i40e_add_filter() within i40e_ndo_set_vf_port_vlan(). 2. Thread T1 concurrently frees the filter in __i40e_del_filter() within i40e_ndo_set_vf_mac(). 3. media: dvbdev: prevent the risk of out of memory access

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvbdev: prevent the risk of out of memory access The dvbdev contains a static variable used to store dvb minors. The behavior of it depends if CONFIG_DVB_DYNAMIC_MINORS is set or not. When not set, dvb_register_device() won't check for boundaries, as it will rely that a previous call to dvb_register_adapter() would already be enforcing it. On a similar way, dvb_device_open() uses the assumption that the register functions already did the needed checks. This can be fragile if some device ends using different calls. This also generate warnings on static check analys
