    seccomp: Move copy_seccomp() to no failure path.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: seccomp: Move copy_seccomp() to no failure path. Our syzbot instance reported memory leaks in do_seccomp() [0], similar to the report [1]. It shows that we miss freeing struct seccomp_filter and some objects included in it. We can reproduce the issue with the program below [2] which calls one seccomp() and two clone() syscalls. The first clone()d child exits earlier than its parent and sends a signal to kill it during the second clone(), more precisely before the fatal_signal_pending() test in copy_process(). When the parent receives the signal, it has to destroy the em

    wifi: ipw2200: fix memory leak in ipw_wdev_init()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ipw2200: fix memory leak in ipw_wdev_init() In the error path of ipw_wdev_init(), exception value is returned, and the memory applied for in the function is not released. Also the memory is not released in ipw_pci_probe(). As a result, memory leakage occurs. So memory release needs to be added to the error path of ipw_wdev_init().

    hwrng: geode - Fix PCI device refcount leak

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwrng: geode - Fix PCI device refcount leak for_each_pci_dev() is implemented by pci_get_device(). The comment of pci_get_device() says that it will increase the reference count for the returned pci_dev and also decrease the reference count for the input pci_dev @from if it is not NULL. If we break for_each_pci_dev() loop with pdev not NULL, we need to call pci_dev_put() to decrease the reference count. We add a new struct 'amd_geode_priv' to record pointer of the pci_dev and membase, and then add missing pci_dev_put() for the normal and error path.

    cpufreq: qcom: fix memory leak in error path

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: qcom: fix memory leak in error path If for some reason the speedbin length is incorrect, then there is a memory leak in the error path because we never free the speedbin buffer. This commit fixes the error path to always free the speedbin buffer.

    loop: loop_set_status_from_info() check before assignment

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: loop: loop_set_status_from_info() check before assignment In loop_set_status_from_info(), lo->lo_offset and lo->lo_sizelimit should be checked before reassignment, because if an overflow error occurs, the original correct value will be changed to the wrong value, and it will not be changed back. More, the original patch did not solve the problem, the value was set and ioctl returned an error, but the subsequent io used the value in the loop driver, which still caused an alarm: loop_handle_cmd do_req_filebacked loff_t pos = ((loff_t) blk_rq_pos(rq) << 9) + lo->lo_offset

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: amdgpu: validate offset_in_bo of drm_amdgpu_gem_va This is motivated by OOB access in amdgpu_vm_update_range when offset_in_bo+map_size overflows. v2: keep the validations in amdgpu_vm_bo_map v3: add the validations to amdgpu_vm_bo_map/amdgpu_vm_bo_replace_map rather than to amdgpu_gem_va_ioctl

    crypto: lib/mpi - avoid null pointer deref in mpi_cmp_ui()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: lib/mpi - avoid null pointer deref in mpi_cmp_ui() During NVMeTCP Authentication a controller can trigger a kernel oops by specifying the 8192 bit Diffie Hellman group and passing a correctly sized, but zeroed Diffie Hellamn value. mpi_cmp_ui() was detecting this if the second parameter was 0, but 1 is passed from dh_is_pubkey_valid(). This causes the null pointer u->d to be dereferenced towards the end of mpi_cmp_ui()

    posix-timers: Prevent RT livelock in itimer_delete()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: posix-timers: Prevent RT livelock in itimer_delete() itimer_delete() has a retry loop when the timer is concurrently expired. On non-RT kernels this just spin-waits until the timer callback has completed, except for posix CPU timers which have HAVE_POSIX_CPU_TIMERS_TASK_WORK enabled. In that case and on RT kernels the existing task could live lock when preempting the task which does the timer delivery. Replace spin_unlock() with an invocation of timer_wait_running() to handle it the same way as the other retry loops in the posix timer code.

    RDMA/irdma: Cap MSIX used to online CPUs + 1

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/irdma: Cap MSIX used to online CPUs + 1 The irdma driver can use a maximum number of msix vectors equal to num_online_cpus() + 1 and the kernel warning stack below is shown if that number is exceeded. The kernel throws a warning as the driver tries to update the affinity hint with a CPU mask greater than the max CPU IDs. Fix this by capping the MSIX vectors to num_online_cpus() + 1. blk-mq: release crypto keyslot before reporting I/O complete

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: release crypto keyslot before reporting I/O complete Once all I/O using a blk_crypto_key has completed, filesystems can call blk_crypto_evict_key(). However, the block layer currently doesn't call blk_crypto_put_keyslot() until the request is being freed, which happens after upper layers have been told (via bio_endio()) the I/O has completed. This causes a race condition where blk_crypto_evict_key() can see 'slot_refs != 0' without there being an actual bug. This makes __blk_crypto_evict_key() hit the 'WARN_ON_ONCE(atomic_read(&slot->slot_refs) != 0)' and return

    l2tp: Avoid possible recursive deadlock in l2tp_tunnel_register()

This situation is reproduced by the following program: int main(void) { int sock; struct sockaddr_pppol2tp addr; sock = socket(AF_PPPOX, SOCK_DGRAM, PX_PROTO_OL2TP); if (sock < 0) { perror("socket"); return 1; } addr.sa_family = AF_PPPOX; addr.sa_protocol = PX_PROTO_OL2TP; addr.pppol2tp.pid = 0; addr.pppol2tp.fd = sock; addr.pppol2tp.addr.sin_family = PF

    nilfs2: fix use-after-free bug of nilfs_root in nilfs_evict_inode()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: fix use-after-free bug of nilfs_root in nilfs_evict_inode() During unmount process of nilfs2, nothing holds nilfs_root structure after nilfs2 detaches its writer in nilfs_detach_log_writer(). However, since nilfs_evict_inode() uses nilfs_root for some cleanup operations, it may cause use-after-free read if inodes are left in "garbage_list" and released by nilfs_dispose_list() at the end of nilfs_detach_log_writer(). Fix this issue by modifying nilfs_evict_inode() to only clear inode without additional metadata changes that use nilfs_root if the file system is degr

    wifi: ath9k: htc_hst: free skb in ath9k_htc_rx_msg() if there is no callback function

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: htc_hst: free skb in ath9k_htc_rx_msg() if there is no callback function It is stated that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() either frees the provided skb or passes its management to another callback function. However, the skb is not freed in case there is no another callback function, and Syzkaller was able to cause a memory leak. Also minor comment fix. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.
