    net/smc: fix NULL sndbuf_desc in smc_cdc_tx_handler()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: fix NULL sndbuf_desc in smc_cdc_tx_handler() When performing a stress test on SMC-R by rmmod mlx5_ib driver during the wrk/nginx test, we found that there is a probability of triggering a panic while terminating all link groups. This issue dues to the race between smc_smcr_terminate_all() and smc_buf_create(). smc_smcr_terminate_all smc_buf_create /* init */ conn->sndbuf_desc = NULL; ... __smc_lgr_terminate smc_conn_kill smc_close_abort smc_cdc_get_slot_and_msg_send __softirqentry_text_start smc_wr_tx_process_cqe smc_cdc_tx_han

    net: tunnels: annotate lockless accesses to dev->needed_headroom

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: tunnels: annotate lockless accesses to dev->needed_headroom IP tunnels can apparently update dev->needed_headroom in their xmit path. This patch takes care of three tunnels xmit, and also the core LL_RESERVED_SPACE() and LL_RESERVED_SPACE_EXTRA() helpers. More changes might be needed for completeness. nfc: st-nci: Fix use after free bug in ndlc_remove due to race condition

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: st-nci: Fix use after free bug in ndlc_remove due to race condition This bug influences both st_nci_i2c_remove and st_nci_spi_remove. Take st_nci_i2c_remove as an example. In st_nci_i2c_probe, it called ndlc_probe and bound &ndlc->sm_work with llt_ndlc_sm_work. When it calls ndlc_recv or timeout handler, it will finally call schedule_work to start the work. When we call st_nci_i2c_remove to remove the driver, there may be a sequence as follows: Fix it by finishing the work before cleanup in ndlc_remove CPU0 CPU1 |llt_ndlc_sm_w

    bonding: restore bond's IFF_SLAVE flag if a non-eth dev enslave fails

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: restore bond's IFF_SLAVE flag if a non-eth dev enslave fails syzbot reported a warning[1] where the bond device itself is a slave and we try to enslave a non-ethernet device as the first slave which fails but then in the error path when ether_setup() restores the bond device it also clears all flags. In my previous fix[2] I restored the IFF_MASTER flag, but I didn't consider the case that the bond device itself might also be a slave with IFF_SLAVE set, so we need to restore that flag as well. Use the bond_ether_setup helper which does the right thing and restores t

    ice: xsk: disable txq irq before flushing hw

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: xsk: disable txq irq before flushing hw ice_qp_dis() intends to stop a given queue pair that is a target of xsk pool attach/detach. One of the steps is to disable interrupts on these queues. It currently is broken in a way that txq irq is turned off *after* HW flush which in turn takes no effect. ice_qp_dis(): -> ice_qvec_dis_irq() --> disable rxq irq --> flush hw -> ice_vsi_stop_tx_ring() -->disable txq irq Below splat can be triggered by following steps: - start xdpsock WITHOUT loading xdp prog - run xdp_rxq_info with XDP_TX action on this interface - start traffic

    ext4: zero i_disksize when initializing the bootloader inode

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: zero i_disksize when initializing the bootloader inode If the boot loader inode has never been used before, the EXT4_IOC_SWAP_BOOT inode will initialize it, including setting the i_size to 0. However, if the "never before used" boot loader has a non-zero i_size, then i_disksize will be non-zero, and the inconsistency between i_size and i_disksize can trigger a kernel warning: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 2580 at fs/ext4/file.c:319 CPU: 0 PID: 2580 Comm: bb Not tainted 6.3.0-rc1-00004-g703695902cfa RIP: 0010:ext4_file_write_iter+0xbc7/0xd10 Call Trace: vfs_write+0x3b1/

    ext4: update s_journal_inum if it changes after journal replay

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: update s_journal_inum if it changes after journal replay When mounting a crafted ext4 image, s_journal_inum may change after journal replay, which is obviously unreasonable because we have successfully loaded and replayed the journal through the old s_journal_inum. And the new s_journal_inum bypasses some of the checks in ext4_get_journal(), which may trigger a null pointer dereference problem. So if s_journal_inum changes after the journal replay, we ignore the change, and rewrite the current journal_inum to the superblock.

Root cause analysis pointed at an issue in barrier processing code -- a race among perf open / close replacing active barriers with perf requests on kernel context and concurrent barrier preallocate / acquire operations performed during user context first pin / last unpin. When adding a request to a composite tracker, we try to reuse an existing fence tracker, already allocated and re

    ocfs2: fix data corruption after failed write

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix data corruption after failed write When buffered write fails to copy data into underlying page cache page, ocfs2_write_end_nolock() just zeroes out and dirties the page. This can leave dirty page beyond EOF and if page writeback tries to write this page before write succeeds and expands i_size, page gets into inconsistent state where page dirty bit is clear but buffer dirty bits stay set resulting in page data never getting written and so data copied to the page is lost. Fix the problem by invalidating page beyond EOF after failed write.
