    usb: renesas_usbhs: Flush the notify_hotplug_work

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: renesas_usbhs: Flush the notify_hotplug_work When performing continuous unbind/bind operations on the USB drivers available on the Renesas RZ/G2L SoC, a kernel crash with the message "Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address" may occur. This issue points to the usbhsc_notify_hotplug() function. Flush the delayed work to avoid its execution when driver resources are unavailable.

usb: atm: cxacru: fix a flaw in existing endpoint checks

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: atm: cxacru: fix a flaw in existing endpoint checks Syzbot once again identified a flaw in usb endpoint checking, see [1]. This time the issue stems from a commit authored by me (2eabb655a968 ("usb: atm: cxacru: fix endpoint checking in cxacru_bind()")). While using usb_find_common_endpoints() may usually be enough to discard devices with wrong endpoints, in this case one needs more than just finding and identifying the sufficient number of endpoints of correct types - one needs to check the endpoint's address as well. Since cxacru_bind() fills URBs with CXACRU_EP_CM

slimbus: messaging: Free transaction ID in delayed interrupt scenario

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: slimbus: messaging: Free transaction ID in delayed interrupt scenario In case of interrupt delay for any reason, slim_do_transfer() returns timeout error but the transaction ID (TID) is not freed. This results into invalid memory access inside qcom_slim_ngd_rx_msgq_cb() due to invalid TID. Fix the issue by freeing the TID in slim_do_transfer() before returning timeout error to avoid invalid memory access. wifi: cfg80211: regulatory: improve invalid hints checking

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: regulatory: improve invalid hints checking Syzbot keeps reporting an issue [1] that occurs when erroneous symbols sent from userspace get through into user_alpha2[] via regulatory_hint_user() call. Such invalid regulatory hints should be rejected. While a sanity check from commit 47caf685a685 ("cfg80211: regulatory: reject invalid hints") looks to be enough to deter these very cases, there is a way to get around it due to 2 reasons. 1) The way isalpha() works, symbols other than latin lower and upper letters may be used to determine a country/domain. wifi: nl80211: reject cooked mode if it is set along with other flags

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: nl80211: reject cooked mode if it is set along with other flags It is possible to set both MONITOR_FLAG_COOK_FRAMES and MONITOR_FLAG_ACTIVE flags simultaneously on the same monitor interface from the userspace. This causes a sub-interface to be created with no IEEE80211_SDATA_IN_DRIVER bit set because the monitor interface is in the cooked state and it takes precedence over all other states. When the interface is then being deleted the kernel calls WARN_ONCE() from check_sdata_in_driver() because of missing that bit. Fix this by rejecting MONITOR_FLAG_COOK_FRAMES if

wifi: iwlwifi: limit printed string from FW file

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: limit printed string from FW file There's no guarantee here that the file is always with a NUL-termination, so reading the string may read beyond the end of the TLV. If that's the last TLV in the file, it can perhaps even read beyond the end of the file buffer. Fix that by limiting the print format to the size of the buffer we have.

caif_virtio: fix wrong pointer check in cfv_probe()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: caif_virtio: fix wrong pointer check in cfv_probe() del_vqs() frees virtqueues, therefore cfv->vq_tx pointer should be checked for NULL before calling it, not cfv->vdev. Also the current implementation is redundant because the pointer cfv->vdev is dereferenced before it is checked for NULL. Fix this by checking cfv->vq_tx for NULL instead of cfv->vdev before calling del_vqs().

For now don't care about rec->counter * rec->counter overflow because rec->time * rec->time overflow will likely happen earlier.

netfilter: ipset: Fix overflow before widen in the bitmap_ip_create() function.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: Fix overflow before widen in the bitmap_ip_create() function. When first_ip is 0, last_ip is 0xFFFFFFFF, and netmask is 31, the value of an arithmetic expression 2 << (netmask - mask_bits - 1) is subject to overflow due to a failure casting operands to a larger data type before performing the arithmetic. Note that it's harmless since the value will be checked at the next step. Found by InfoTeCS on behalf of Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

RDMA/core: Fix ib block iterator counter overflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Fix ib block iterator counter overflow When registering a new DMA MR after selecting the best aligned page size for it, we iterate over the given sglist to split each entry to smaller, aligned to the selected page size, DMA blocks. In given circumstances where the sg entry and page size fit certain sizes and the sg entry is not aligned to the selected page size, the total size of the aligned pages we need to cover the sg entry is >= 4GB. Under this circumstances, while iterating page aligned blocks, the counter responsible for counting how much we advanced from

bpf: Fix pointer-leak due to insufficient speculative store bypass mitigation

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix pointer-leak due to insufficient speculative store bypass mitigation To mitigate Spectre v4, 2039f26f3aca ("bpf: Fix leakage due to insufficient speculative store bypass mitigation") inserts lfence instructions after 1) initializing a stack slot and 2) spilling a pointer to the stack. However, this does not cover cases where a stack slot is first initialized with a pointer (subject to sanitization) but then overwritten with a scalar (not subject to sanitization because the slot was already initialized). In this case, the second write may be subject to speculative

net: nfc: Fix use-after-free in local_cleanup()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: Fix use-after-free in local_cleanup() Fix a use-after-free that occurs in kfree_skb() called from local_cleanup(). This could happen when killing nfc daemon (e.g. neard) after detaching an nfc device. When detaching an nfc device, local_cleanup() called from nfc_llcp_unregister_device() frees local->rx_pending and decreases local->ref by kref_put() in nfc_llcp_local_put(). In the terminating process, nfc daemon releases all sockets and it leads to decreasing local->ref. After the last release of local->ref, local_cleanup() called from local_release() frees local->

    net/sched: sch_taprio: fix possible use-after-free

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_taprio: fix possible use-after-free syzbot reported a nasty crash [1] in net_tx_action() which made little sense until we got a repro. This repro installs a taprio qdisc, but providing an invalid TCA_RATE attribute. qdisc_create() has to destroy the just initialized taprio qdisc, and taprio_destroy() is called. However, the hrtimer used by taprio had already fired, therefore advance_sched() called __netif_schedule(). Then net_tx_action was trying to use a destroyed qdisc. We can not undo the __netif_schedule(), so we must wait until one cpu serviced the
