    scsi: hisi_sas: Fix NULL pointer exception during user_scan()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: hisi_sas: Fix NULL pointer exception during user_scan() user_scan() invokes updated sas_user_scan() for channel 0, and if successful, iteratively scans remaining channels (1 to shost->max_channel) via scsi_scan_host_selected() in commit 37c4e72b0651 ("scsi: Fix sas_user_scan() to handle wildcard and multi-channel scans"). However, hisi_sas supports only one channel, and the current value of max_channel is 1. sas_user_scan() for channel 1 will trigger the following NULL pointer exception: [ 441.554662] Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual addre

    tipc: fix divide-by-zero in tipc_sk_filter_connect()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix divide-by-zero in tipc_sk_filter_connect() A user can set conn_timeout to any value via setsockopt(TIPC_CONN_TIMEOUT), including values less than 4. When a SYN is rejected with TIPC_ERR_OVERLOAD and the retry path in tipc_sk_filter_connect() executes: delay %= (tsk->conn_timeout / 4); If conn_timeout is in the range [0, 3], the integer division yields 0, and the modulo operation triggers a divide-by-zero exception, causing a kernel oops/panic. Fix this by clamping conn_timeout to a minimum of 4 at the point of use in tipc_sk_filter_connect(). Oops: divide

    libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in ceph_handle_auth_reply()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in ceph_handle_auth_reply() This patch fixes an out-of-bounds access in ceph_handle_auth_reply() that can be triggered by a message of type CEPH_MSG_AUTH_REPLY. In ceph_handle_auth_reply(), the value of the payload_len field of such a message is stored in a variable of type int. A value greater than INT_MAX leads to an integer overflow and is interpreted as a negative value. This leads to decrementing the pointer address by this value and subsequently accessing it because ceph_decode_need() only checks that the memory access does

    libceph: prevent potential out-of-bounds reads in process_message_header()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: prevent potential out-of-bounds reads in process_message_header() If the message frame is (maliciously) corrupted in a way that the length of the control segment ends up being less than the size of the message header or a different frame is made to look like a message frame, out-of-bounds reads may ensue in process_message_header(). Perform an explicit bounds check before decoding the message header.

    libceph: Use u32 for non-negative values in ceph_monmap_decode()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Use u32 for non-negative values in ceph_monmap_decode() This patch fixes unnecessary implicit conversions that change signedness of blob_len and num_mon in ceph_monmap_decode(). Currently blob_len and num_mon are (signed) int variables. They are used to hold values that are always non-negative and get assigned in ceph_decode_32_safe(), which is meant to assign u32 values. Both variables are subsequently used as unsigned values, and the value of num_mon is further assigned to monmap->num_mon, which is of type u32. Therefore, both variables should be of type u32. Thi

    staging: rtl8723bs: fix potential out-of-bounds read in rtw_restruct_wmm_ie

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix potential out-of-bounds read in rtw_restruct_wmm_ie The current code checks 'i + 5 < in_len' at the end of the if statement. However, it accesses 'in_ie[i + 5]' before that check, which can lead to an out-of-bounds read. Move the length check to the beginning of the conditional to ensure the index is within bounds before accessing the array.

    batman-adv: Avoid double-rtnl_lock ELP metric worker

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: Avoid double-rtnl_lock ELP metric worker batadv_v_elp_get_throughput() might be called when the RTNL lock is already held. This could be problematic when the work queue item is cancelled via cancel_delayed_work_sync() in batadv_v_elp_iface_disable(). In this case, an rtnl_lock() would cause a deadlock. To avoid this, rtnl_trylock() was used in this function to skip the retrieval of the ethtool information in case the RTNL lock was already held. But for cfg80211 interfaces, batadv_get_real_netdev() was called - which also uses rtnl_lock(). The approach for __et

    hwmon: (pmbus/q54sj108a2) fix stack overflow in debugfs read

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/q54sj108a2) fix stack overflow in debugfs read The q54sj108a2_debugfs_read function suffers from a stack buffer overflow due to incorrect arguments passed to bin2hex(). The function currently passes 'data' as the destination and 'data_char' as the source. Because bin2hex() converts each input byte into two hex characters, a 32-byte block read results in 64 bytes of output. Since 'data' is only 34 bytes (I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX + 2), this writes 30 bytes past the end of the buffer onto the stack. Additionally, the arguments were swapped: it was reading from the z

    ksmbd: fix use-after-free in smb_lazy_parent_lease_break_close()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix use-after-free in smb_lazy_parent_lease_break_close() opinfo pointer obtained via rcu_dereference(fp->f_opinfo) is being accessed after rcu_read_unlock() has been called. This creates a race condition where the memory could be freed by a concurrent writer between the unlock and the subsequent pointer dereferences (opinfo->is_lease, etc.), leading to a use-after-free.

    net: ncsi: fix skb leak in error paths

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ncsi: fix skb leak in error paths Early return paths in NCSI RX and AEN handlers fail to release the received skb, resulting in a memory leak. Specifically, ncsi_aen_handler() returns on invalid AEN packets without consuming the skb. Similarly, ncsi_rcv_rsp() exits early when failing to resolve the NCSI device, response handler, or request, leaving the skb unfreed.

    x86/apic: Disable x2apic on resume if the kernel expects so

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/apic: Disable x2apic on resume if the kernel expects so When resuming from s2ram, firmware may re-enable x2apic mode, which may have been disabled by the kernel during boot either because it doesn't support IRQ remapping or for other reasons. This causes the kernel to continue using the xapic interface, while the hardware is in x2apic mode, which causes hangs. This happens on defconfig + bare metal + s2ram. Fix this in lapic_resume() by disabling x2apic if the kernel expects it to be disabled, i.e. when x2apic_mode = 0. The ACPI v6.6 spec, Section 16.3 [1] says firmwa
