ALSA: pcm: oss: Fix data race at accessing runtime.oss.trigger

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: oss: Fix data race at accessing runtime.oss.trigger Currently the runtime.oss.trigger field may be accessed concurrently without protection, which may lead to the data race. And, in this case, it may lead to more severe problem because it's a bit field; as writing the data, it may overwrite other bit fields as well, which confuses the operation completely, as spotted by fuzzing. Fix it by covering runtime.oss.trigger bit fled also with the existing params_lock mutex in both snd_pcm_oss_get_trigger() and snd_pcm_oss_poll().

8021q: delete cleared egress QoS mappings

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 8021q: delete cleared egress QoS mappings vlan_dev_set_egress_priority() currently keeps cleared egress priority mappings in the hash as tombstones. Repeated set/clear cycles with distinct skb priorities therefore accumulate mapping nodes until device teardown and leak memory. Delete mappings when vlan_prio is cleared instead of keeping tombstones. Now that the egress mapping lists are RCU protected, the node can be unlinked safely and freed after a grace period.

usb: usblp: fix heap leak in IEEE 1284 device ID via short response

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: usblp: fix heap leak in IEEE 1284 device ID via short response usblp_ctrl_msg() collapses the usb_control_msg() return value to 0/-errno, discarding the actual number of bytes transferred. A broken printer can complete the GET_DEVICE_ID control transfer short and the driver has no way to know. usblp_cache_device_id_string() reads the 2-byte big-endian length prefix from the response and trusts it (clamped only to the buffer bounds). The buffer is kmalloc(1024) at probe time. A device that sends exactly two bytes (e.g. 0x03 0xFF, claiming a 1023-byte ID) leaves device

scsi: target: configfs: Bound snprintf() return in tg_pt_gp_members_show()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: configfs: Bound snprintf() return in tg_pt_gp_members_show() target_tg_pt_gp_members_show() formats LUN paths with snprintf() into a 256-byte stack buffer, then will memcpy() cur_len bytes from that buffer. snprintf() returns the length the output would have had, which can exceed the buffer size when the fabric WWN is long because iSCSI IQN names can be up to 223 bytes. The check at the memcpy() site only guards the destination page write, not the source read, so memcpy() will read past the stack buffer and copy adjacent stack contents to the sysfs reader, w

KVM: arm64: Fix pin leak and publication ordering in __pkvm_init_vcpu()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Fix pin leak and publication ordering in __pkvm_init_vcpu() Two bugs exist in the vCPU initialisation path: 1. If a check fails after hyp_pin_shared_mem() succeeds, the cleanup path jumps to 'unlock' without calling unpin_host_vcpu() or unpin_host_sve_state(), permanently leaking pin references on the host vCPU and SVE state pages. Extract a register_hyp_vcpu() helper that performs the checks and the store. When register_hyp_vcpu() returns an error, call unpin_host_vcpu() and unpin_host_sve_state() inline before falling through to the exis

ipmi: Check event message buffer response for bad data

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmi: Check event message buffer response for bad data The event message buffer response data size got checked later when processing, but check it right after the response comes back. It appears some BMCs may return an empty message instead of an error when fetching events. There are apparently some new BMCs that make this error, so we need to compensate.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/ocrdma: Don't NULL deref uctx on errors in ocrdma_copy_pd_uresp() Sashiko points out that pd->uctx isn't initialized until late in the function so all these error flow references are NULL and will crash. Use the uctx that isn't NULL.

wifi: b43: enforce bounds check on firmware key index in b43_rx()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: b43: enforce bounds check on firmware key index in b43_rx() The firmware-controlled key index in b43_rx() can exceed the dev->key[] array size (58 entries). The existing B43_WARN_ON is non-enforcing in production builds, allowing an out-of-bounds read. Make the B43_WARN_ON check enforcing by dropping the frame when the firmware returns an invalid key index.

libceph: Fix slab-out-of-bounds access in auth message processing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix slab-out-of-bounds access in auth message processing If a (potentially corrupted) message of type CEPH_MSG_AUTH_REPLY contains a positive value in its result field, it is treated as an error code by ceph_handle_auth_reply() and returned to handle_auth_reply(). Thereafter, an attempt is made to send the preallocated message of type CEPH_MSG_AUTH, where the returned value is interpreted as the size of the front segment to send. If the result value in the message is greater than the size of the memory buffer allocated for the front segment, an out-of-bounds access

KVM: x86: Fix shadow paging use-after-free due to unexpected GFN

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Fix shadow paging use-after-free due to unexpected GFN The shadow MMU computes GFNs for direct shadow pages using sp->gfn plus the SPTE index. This assumption breaks for shadow paging if the guest page tables are modified between VM entries (similar to commit aad885e77496, "KVM: x86/mmu: Drop/zap existing present SPTE even when creating an MMIO SPTE", 2026-03-27). The flow is as follows: - a PDE is installed for a 2MB mapping, and a page in that area is accessed. KVM creates a kvm_mmu_page consisting of 512 4KB pages; the kvm_mmu_page is marked by FNAME(fet

    dm-thin: fix metadata refcount underflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-thin: fix metadata refcount underflow There's a bug in dm-thin in the function rebalance_children. If the internal btree node has one entry, the code tries to copy all btree entries from the node's child to the node itself and then decrement the child's reference count. If the child node is shared (it has reference count > 1), we won't free it, so there would be two pointers to each of the grandchildren nodes. But the reference counts of the grandchildren is not increased, thus the reference count doesn't match the number of pointers that point to the grandchildren. Thi

net: caif: clear client service pointer on teardown

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: caif: clear client service pointer on teardown `caif_connect()` can tear down an existing client after remote shutdown by calling `caif_disconnect_client()` followed by `caif_free_client()`. `caif_free_client()` releases the service layer referenced by `adap_layer->dn`, but leaves that pointer stale. When the socket is later destroyed, `caif_sock_destructor()` calls `caif_free_client()` again and dereferences the freed service pointer. Clear the client/service links before releasing the service object so repeated teardown becomes harmless.

ALSA: aloop: Fix peer runtime UAF during format-change stop

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: aloop: Fix peer runtime UAF during format-change stop loopback_check_format() may stop the capture side when playback starts with parameters that no longer match a running capture stream. Commit 826af7fa62e3 ("ALSA: aloop: Fix racy access at PCM trigger") moved the peer lookup under cable->lock, but the actual snd_pcm_stop() still runs after dropping that lock. A concurrent close can clear the capture entry from cable->streams[] and detach or free its runtime while the playback trigger path still holds a stale peer substream pointer. ALSA: control: Validate buf_len before strnlen() in snd_ctl_elem_init_enum_names()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: control: Validate buf_len before strnlen() in snd_ctl_elem_init_enum_names() snd_ctl_elem_init_enum_names() advances pointer p through the names buffer while decrementing buf_len. If buf_len reaches zero but items remain, the next iteration calls strnlen(p, 0). While strnlen(p, 0) returns 0 and would hit the existing name_len == 0 error path, CONFIG_FORTIFY_SOURCE's fortified strnlen() first checks maxlen against __builtin_dynamic_object_size(). When Clang loses track of p's object size inside the loop, this triggers a BRK exception panic before the return value is e

fbdev: defio: Disconnect deferred I/O from the lifetime of struct fb_info

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: defio: Disconnect deferred I/O from the lifetime of struct fb_info Hold state of deferred I/O in struct fb_deferred_io_state. Allocate an instance as part of initializing deferred I/O and remove it only after the final mapping has been closed. If the fb_info and the contained deferred I/O meanwhile goes away, clear struct fb_deferred_io_state.info to invalidate the mapping. Any access will then result in a SIGBUS signal. Fixes a long-standing problem, where a device hot-unplug happens while user space still has an active mapping of the graphics memory. The hot- unpl

ibmasm: fix heap over-read in ibmasm_send_i2o_message()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ibmasm: fix heap over-read in ibmasm_send_i2o_message() The ibmasm_send_i2o_message() function uses get_dot_command_size() to compute the byte count for memcpy_toio(), but this value is derived from user-controlled fields in the dot_command_header (command_size: u8, data_size: u16) and is never validated against the actual allocation size. A root user can write a small buffer with inflated header fields, causing memcpy_toio() to read up to ~65 KB past the end of the allocation into adjacent kernel heap, which is then forwarded to the service processor over MMIO.
