    ocfs2: fix use-after-free in ocfs2_fault() when VM_FAULT_RETRY

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix use-after-free in ocfs2_fault() when VM_FAULT_RETRY filemap_fault() may drop the mmap_lock before returning VM_FAULT_RETRY, as documented in mm/filemap.c: "If our return value has VM_FAULT_RETRY set, it's because the mmap_lock may be dropped before doing I/O or by lock_folio_maybe_drop_mmap()." When this happens, a concurrent munmap() can call remove_vma() and free the vm_area_struct via RCU. The saved 'vma' pointer in ocfs2_fault() then becomes a dangling pointer, and the subsequent trace_ocfs2_fault() call dereferences it -- a use-after-free. Fix this by

    KVM: x86: Use scratch field in MMIO fragment to hold small write values

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Use scratch field in MMIO fragment to hold small write values When exiting to userspace to service an emulated MMIO write, copy the to-be-written value to a scratch field in the MMIO fragment if the size of the data payload is 8 bytes or less, i.e. can fit in a single chunk, instead of pointing the fragment directly at the source value. This fixes a class of use-after-free bugs that occur when the emulator initiates a write using an on-stack, local variable as the source, the write splits a page boundary, *and* both pages are MMIO pages. Because KVM's ABI only a

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: em28xx: fix use-after-free in em28xx_v4l2_open() em28xx_v4l2_open() reads dev->v4l2 without holding dev->lock, creating a race with em28xx_v4l2_init()'s error path and em28xx_v4l2_fini(), both of which free the em28xx_v4l2 struct and set dev->v4l2 to NULL under dev->lock. This race leads to two issues: - use-after-free in v4l2_fh_init() when accessing vdev->ctrl_handler, since the video_device is embedded in the freed em28xx_v4l2 struct. - NULL pointer dereference in em28xx_resolution_set() when accessing v4l2->norm, since dev->v4l2 has been set to NULL. ALSA: 6fire: fix use-after-free on disconnect

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: 6fire: fix use-after-free on disconnect In usb6fire_chip_abort(), the chip struct is allocated as the card's private data (via snd_card_new with sizeof(struct sfire_chip)). When snd_card_free_when_closed() is called and no file handles are open, the card and embedded chip are freed synchronously. The subsequent chip->card = NULL write then hits freed slab memory. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bonding: fix NULL deref in bond_debug_rlb_hash_show rlb_clear_slave intentionally keeps RLB hash-table entries on the rx_hashtbl_used_head list with slave set to NULL when no replacement slave is available. However, bond_debug_rlb_hash_show visites client_info->slave without checking if it's NULL. Other used-list iterators in bond_alb.c already handle this NULL-slave state safely: - rlb_update_client returns early on !client_info->slave - rlb_req_update_slave_clients, rlb_clear_slave, and rlb_rebalance compare slave values before visiting - lb_req_update_subnet_clien

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: raw: fix ro->uniq use-after-free in raw_rcv() raw_release() unregisters raw CAN receive filters via can_rx_unregister(), but receiver deletion is deferred with call_rcu(). This leaves a window where raw_rcv() may still be running in an RCU read-side critical section after raw_release() frees ro->uniq, leading to a use-after-free of the percpu uniq storage. Move free_percpu(ro->uniq) out of raw_release() and into a raw-specific socket destructor. can_rx_unregister() takes an extra reference to the socket and only drops it from the RCU callback, so freeing uniq from sk_

    driver core: platform: use generic driver_override infrastructure

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: driver core: platform: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. [1]

    HID: asus: avoid memory leak in asus_report_fixup()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: asus: avoid memory leak in asus_report_fixup() The asus_report_fixup() function was returning a newly allocated kmemdup()-allocated buffer, but never freeing it. Switch to devm_kzalloc() to ensure the memory is managed and freed automatically when the device is removed. The caller of report_fixup() does not take ownership of the returned pointer, but it is permitted to return a pointer whose lifetime is at least that of the input buffer. Also fix a harmless out-of-bounds read by copying only the original descriptor size.

There's a brief window during a reset where a hipri task may try to poll that queue before the block layer has updated the queue maps, which would race with the now interrupt driven queue and may cause double completions.

    xfrm: prevent policy_hthresh.work from racing with netns teardown

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: prevent policy_hthresh.work from racing with netns teardown A XFRM_MSG_NEWSPDINFO request can queue the per-net work item policy_hthresh.work onto the system workqueue. The queued callback, xfrm_hash_rebuild(), retrieves the enclosing struct net via container_of(). If the net namespace is torn down before that work runs, the associated struct net may already have been freed, and xfrm_hash_rebuild() may then dereference stale memory. xfrm_policy_fini() already flushes policy_hash_work during teardown, but it does not synchronize policy_hthresh.work. Bluetooth: L2CAP: Validate PDU length before reading SDU length in l2cap_ecred_data_rcv()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Validate PDU length before reading SDU length in l2cap_ecred_data_rcv() l2cap_ecred_data_rcv() reads the SDU length field from skb->data using get_unaligned_le16() without first verifying that skb contains at least L2CAP_SDULEN_SIZE (2) bytes. When skb->len is less than 2, this reads past the valid data in the skb. The ERTM reassembly path correctly calls pskb_may_pull() before reading the SDU length (l2cap_reassemble_sdu, L2CAP_SAR_START case). Apply the same validation to the Enhanced Credit Based Flow Control data path.
