ocfs2: clear extent cache after moving/defragmenting extents

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: clear extent cache after moving/defragmenting extents The extent map cache can become stale when extents are moved or defragmented, causing subsequent operations to see outdated extent flags. This triggers a BUG_ON in ocfs2_refcount_cal_cow_clusters(). The problem occurs when: 1. copy_file_range() creates a reflinked extent with OCFS2_EXT_REFCOUNTED 2. ioctl(FITRIM) triggers ocfs2_move_extents() 3. __ocfs2_move_extents_range() reads and caches the extent (flags=0x2) 4. ocfs2_move_extent()/ocfs2_defrag_extent() calls __ocfs2_move_extent() which clears OCFS2_EXT_R

fuse: fix livelock in synchronous file put from fuseblk workers

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: fix livelock in synchronous file put from fuseblk workers I observed a hang when running generic/323 against a fuseblk server. This test opens a file, initiates a lot of AIO writes to that file descriptor, and closes the file descriptor before the writes complete. Unsurprisingly, the AIO exerciser threads are mostly stuck waiting for responses from the fuseblk server: # cat /proc/372265/task/372313/stack [<0>] request_wait_answer+0x1fe/0x2a0 [fuse] [<0>] __fuse_simple_request+0xd3/0x2b0 [fuse] [<0>] fuse_do_getattr+0xfc/0x1f0 [fuse] [<0>] fuse_file_read_iter+0xbe/0x1

xfrm: delete x->tunnel as we delete x

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: delete x->tunnel as we delete x The ipcomp fallback tunnels currently get deleted (from the various lists and hashtables) as the last user state that needed that fallback is destroyed (not deleted). If a reference to that user state still exists, the fallback state will remain on the hashtables/lists, triggering the WARN in xfrm_state_fini. Because of those remaining references, the fix in commit f75a2804da39 ("xfrm: destroy xfrm_state synchronously on net exit path") is not complete. We recently fixed one such situation in TCP due to defered freeing of skbs (commit

ACPI: video: Fix use-after-free in acpi_video_switch_brightness()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: video: Fix use-after-free in acpi_video_switch_brightness() The switch_brightness_work delayed work accesses device->brightness and device->backlight, freed by acpi_video_dev_unregister_backlight() during device removal. If the work executes after acpi_video_bus_unregister_backlight() frees these resources, it causes a use-after-free when acpi_video_switch_brightness() dereferences device->brightness or device->backlight. Fix this by calling cancel_delayed_work_sync() for each device's switch_brightness_work in acpi_video_bus_remove_notify_handler() after removing t

btrfs: avoid potential out-of-bounds in btrfs_encode_fh()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: avoid potential out-of-bounds in btrfs_encode_fh() The function btrfs_encode_fh() does not properly account for the three cases it handles. Before writing to the file handle (fh), the function only returns to the user BTRFS_FID_SIZE_NON_CONNECTABLE (5 dwords, 20 bytes) or BTRFS_FID_SIZE_CONNECTABLE (8 dwords, 32 bytes). However, when a parent exists and the root ID of the parent and the inode are different, the function writes BTRFS_FID_SIZE_CONNECTABLE_ROOT (10 dwords, 40 bytes). If *max_len is not large enough, this write goes out of bounds because BTRFS_FID_SIZ

Squashfs: reject negative file sizes in squashfs_read_inode()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Squashfs: reject negative file sizes in squashfs_read_inode() Syskaller reports a "WARNING in ovl_copy_up_file" in overlayfs. This warning is ultimately caused because the underlying Squashfs file system returns a file with a negative file size. This commit checks for a negative file size and returns EINVAL. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: avoid potential buffer over-read in parse_apply_sb_mount_options() Unlike other strings in the ext4 superblock, we rely on tune2fs to make sure s_mount_opts is NUL terminated. Harden parse_apply_sb_mount_options() by treating s_mount_opts as a potential __nonstring.

ext4: guard against EA inode refcount underflow in xattr update

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: guard against EA inode refcount underflow in xattr update syzkaller found a path where ext4_xattr_inode_update_ref() reads an EA inode refcount that is already <= 0 and then applies ref_change (often -1). That lets the refcount underflow and we proceed with a bogus value, triggering errors like: EXT4-fs error: EA inode <n> ref underflow: ref_count=-1 ref_change=-1 EXT4-fs warning: ea_inode dec ref err=-117 Make the invariant explicit: if the current refcount is non-positive, treat this as on-disk corruption, emit ext4_error_inode(), and fail the operation with -

xen/events: Return -EEXIST for bound VIRQs

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen/events: Return -EEXIST for bound VIRQs Change find_virq() to return -EEXIST when a VIRQ is bound to a different CPU than the one passed in. With that, remove the BUG_ON() from bind_virq_to_irq() to propogate the error upwards. Some VIRQs are per-cpu, but others are per-domain or global. Those must be bound to CPU0 and can then migrate elsewhere. The lookup for per-domain and global will probably fail when migrated off CPU 0, especially when the current CPU is tracked. This now returns -EEXIST instead of BUG_ON(). A second call to bind a per-domain or global VIRQ i
