hfsplus: fix uninit-value by validating catalog record size

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfsplus: fix uninit-value by validating catalog record size Syzbot reported a KMSAN uninit-value issue in hfsplus_strcasecmp(). The root cause is that hfs_brec_read() doesn't validate that the on-disk record size matches the expected size for the record type being read. When mounting a corrupted filesystem, hfs_brec_read() may read less data than expected. For example, when reading a catalog thread record, the debug output showed: HFSPLUS_BREC_READ: rec_len=520, fd->entrylength=26 HFSPLUS_BREC_READ: WARNING - entrylength (26) < rec_len (520) - PARTIAL READ! hfs_brec_

usb: usblp: fix uninitialized heap leak via LPGETSTATUS ioctl

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: usblp: fix uninitialized heap leak via LPGETSTATUS ioctl Just like in a previous problem in this driver, usblp_ctrl_msg() will collapse the usb_control_msg() return value to 0/-errno, discarding the actual number of bytes transferred. Ideally that short command should be detected and error out, but many printers are known to send "incorrect" responses back so we can't just do that. statusbuf is kmalloc(8) at probe time and never filled before the first LPGETSTATUS ioctl. usblp_read_status() requests 1 byte. If a malicious printer responds with zero bytes, *statusbuf

wifi: b43legacy: enforce bounds check on firmware key index in RX path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: b43legacy: enforce bounds check on firmware key index in RX path Same fix as b43: the firmware-controlled key index in b43legacy_rx() can exceed dev->max_nr_keys. The existing B43legacy_WARN_ON is non-enforcing in production builds, allowing an out-of-bounds read of dev->key[]. Make the check enforcing by dropping the frame for invalid indices.

    md/raid10: fix divide-by-zero in setup_geo() with zero far_copies

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid10: fix divide-by-zero in setup_geo() with zero far_copies setup_geo() extracts near_copies (nc) and far_copies (fc) from the user-provided layout parameter without checking for zero. When fc=0 with the "improved" far set layout selected, 'geo->far_set_size = disks / fc' triggers a divide-by-zero. Validate nc and fc immediately after extraction, returning -1 if either is zero.

btrfs: fix missing last_unlink_trans update when removing a directory

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix missing last_unlink_trans update when removing a directory When removing a directory we are not updating its last_unlink_trans field, which can result in incorrect fsync behaviour in case some one fsyncs the directory after it was removed because it's holding a file descriptor on it. Example scenario: mkdir /mnt/dir1 mkdir /mnt/dir1/dir2 mkdir /mnt/dir3 sync -f /mnt # Do some change to the directory and fsync it. chmod 700 /mnt/dir1 xfs_io -c fsync /mnt/dir1 # Move dir2 out of dir1 so that dir1 becomes empty. mv /mnt/dir1/dir2 /mnt

btrfs: fix btrfs_ioctl_space_info() slot_count TOCTOU which can lead to info-leak

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix btrfs_ioctl_space_info() slot_count TOCTOU which can lead to info-leak btrfs_ioctl_space_info() has a TOCTOU race between two passes over the block group RAID type lists. The first pass counts entries to determine the allocation size, then the second pass fills the buffer. The groups_sem rwlock is released between passes, allowing concurrent block group removal to reduce the entry count. When the second pass fills fewer entries than the first pass counted, copy_to_user() copies the full alloc_size bytes including trailing uninitialized kmalloc bytes to userspace

ALSA: pcm: oss: Fix data race at accessing runtime.oss.trigger

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: oss: Fix data race at accessing runtime.oss.trigger Currently the runtime.oss.trigger field may be accessed concurrently without protection, which may lead to the data race. And, in this case, it may lead to more severe problem because it's a bit field; as writing the data, it may overwrite other bit fields as well, which confuses the operation completely, as spotted by fuzzing. Fix it by covering runtime.oss.trigger bit fled also with the existing params_lock mutex in both snd_pcm_oss_get_trigger() and snd_pcm_oss_poll().

8021q: delete cleared egress QoS mappings

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 8021q: delete cleared egress QoS mappings vlan_dev_set_egress_priority() currently keeps cleared egress priority mappings in the hash as tombstones. Repeated set/clear cycles with distinct skb priorities therefore accumulate mapping nodes until device teardown and leak memory. Delete mappings when vlan_prio is cleared instead of keeping tombstones. Now that the egress mapping lists are RCU protected, the node can be unlinked safely and freed after a grace period.

usb: usblp: fix heap leak in IEEE 1284 device ID via short response

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: usblp: fix heap leak in IEEE 1284 device ID via short response usblp_ctrl_msg() collapses the usb_control_msg() return value to 0/-errno, discarding the actual number of bytes transferred. A broken printer can complete the GET_DEVICE_ID control transfer short and the driver has no way to know. usblp_cache_device_id_string() reads the 2-byte big-endian length prefix from the response and trusts it (clamped only to the buffer bounds). The buffer is kmalloc(1024) at probe time. A device that sends exactly two bytes (e.g. 0x03 0xFF, claiming a 1023-byte ID) leaves device

scsi: target: configfs: Bound snprintf() return in tg_pt_gp_members_show()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: configfs: Bound snprintf() return in tg_pt_gp_members_show() target_tg_pt_gp_members_show() formats LUN paths with snprintf() into a 256-byte stack buffer, then will memcpy() cur_len bytes from that buffer. snprintf() returns the length the output would have had, which can exceed the buffer size when the fabric WWN is long because iSCSI IQN names can be up to 223 bytes. The check at the memcpy() site only guards the destination page write, not the source read, so memcpy() will read past the stack buffer and copy adjacent stack contents to the sysfs reader, w

KVM: arm64: Fix pin leak and publication ordering in __pkvm_init_vcpu()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Fix pin leak and publication ordering in __pkvm_init_vcpu() Two bugs exist in the vCPU initialisation path: 1. If a check fails after hyp_pin_shared_mem() succeeds, the cleanup path jumps to 'unlock' without calling unpin_host_vcpu() or unpin_host_sve_state(), permanently leaking pin references on the host vCPU and SVE state pages. Extract a register_hyp_vcpu() helper that performs the checks and the store. When register_hyp_vcpu() returns an error, call unpin_host_vcpu() and unpin_host_sve_state() inline before falling through to the exis

ipmi: Check event message buffer response for bad data

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmi: Check event message buffer response for bad data The event message buffer response data size got checked later when processing, but check it right after the response comes back. It appears some BMCs may return an empty message instead of an error when fetching events. There are apparently some new BMCs that make this error, so we need to compensate.

libceph: Fix slab-out-of-bounds access in auth message processing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix slab-out-of-bounds access in auth message processing If a (potentially corrupted) message of type CEPH_MSG_AUTH_REPLY contains a positive value in its result field, it is treated as an error code by ceph_handle_auth_reply() and returned to handle_auth_reply(). Thereafter, an attempt is made to send the preallocated message of type CEPH_MSG_AUTH, where the returned value is interpreted as the size of the front segment to send. If the result value in the message is greater than the size of the memory buffer allocated for the front segment, an out-of-bounds access

KVM: x86: Fix shadow paging use-after-free due to unexpected GFN

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Fix shadow paging use-after-free due to unexpected GFN The shadow MMU computes GFNs for direct shadow pages using sp->gfn plus the SPTE index. This assumption breaks for shadow paging if the guest page tables are modified between VM entries (similar to commit aad885e77496, "KVM: x86/mmu: Drop/zap existing present SPTE even when creating an MMIO SPTE", 2026-03-27). The flow is as follows: - a PDE is installed for a 2MB mapping, and a page in that area is accessed. KVM creates a kvm_mmu_page consisting of 512 4KB pages; the kvm_mmu_page is marked by FNAME(fet

    dm-thin: fix metadata refcount underflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-thin: fix metadata refcount underflow There's a bug in dm-thin in the function rebalance_children. If the internal btree node has one entry, the code tries to copy all btree entries from the node's child to the node itself and then decrement the child's reference count. If the child node is shared (it has reference count > 1), we won't free it, so there would be two pointers to each of the grandchildren nodes. But the reference counts of the grandchildren is not increased, thus the reference count doesn't match the number of pointers that point to the grandchildren. Thi
