powerpc/iommu: Fix notifiers being shared by PCI and VIO buses

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/iommu: Fix notifiers being shared by PCI and VIO buses fail_iommu_setup() registers the fail_iommu_bus_notifier struct to both PCI and VIO buses. struct notifier_block is a linked list node, so this causes any notifiers later registered to either bus type to also be registered to the other since they share the same node. This causes issues in (at least) the vgaarb code, which registers a notifier for PCI buses. pci_notify() ends up being called on a vio device, converted with to_pci_dev() even though it's not a PCI device, and finally makes a bad access in vga_ar

media: anysee: fix null-ptr-deref in anysee_master_xfer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: anysee: fix null-ptr-deref in anysee_master_xfer In anysee_master_xfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be passed. Malicious data finally reach anysee_master_xfer. If accessing msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen. We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash. Similar commit: commit 0ed554fd769a ("media: dvb-usb: az6027: fix null-ptr-deref in az6027_i2c_xfer()") [hverkuil: add spaces around +]

drm/client: Fix memory leak in drm_client_target_cloned

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/client: Fix memory leak in drm_client_target_cloned dmt_mode is allocated and never freed in this function. It was found with the ast driver, but most drivers using generic fbdev setup are probably affected. ALSA: firewire-digi00x: prevent potential use after free

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: firewire-digi00x: prevent potential use after free This code was supposed to return an error code if init_stream() failed, but it instead freed dg00x->rx_stream and returned success. This potentially leads to a use after free.

    xen: speed up grant-table reclaim

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen: speed up grant-table reclaim When a grant entry is still in use by the remote domain, Linux must put it on a deferred list. Normally, this list is very short, because the PV network and block protocols expect the backend to unmap the grant first. However, Qubes OS's GUI protocol is subject to the constraints of the X Window System, and as such winds up with the frontend unmapping the window first. As a result, the list can grow very large, resulting in a massive memory leak and eventual VM freeze. To partially solve this problem, make the number of entries that the

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: bq27xxx: Fix poll_interval handling and races on remove Before this patch bq27xxx_battery_teardown() was setting poll_interval = 0 to avoid bq27xxx_battery_update() requeuing the delayed_work item. There are 2 problems with this: 1. If the driver is unbound through sysfs, rather then the module being rmmod-ed, this changes poll_interval unexpectedly 2. This is racy, after it being set poll_interval could be changed before bq27xxx_battery_update() checks it through /sys/module/bq27xxx_battery/parameters/poll_interval Fix this by added a removed at

crypto: qat - fix DMA transfer direction

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - fix DMA transfer direction When CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG is selected, while running the crypto self test on the QAT crypto algorithms, the function add_dma_entry() reports a warning similar to the one below, saying that overlapping mappings are not supported. This occurs in tests where the input and the output scatter list point to the same buffers (i.e. two different scatter lists which point to the same chunks of memory). The logic that implements the mapping uses the flag DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL for both the input and the output scatter lists which leads to overlapp

This is because sit tunnels are NETIF_F_LLTX, meaning their ndo_start_xmit() is not protected by a spinlock. While original KCSAN report was about tx path, rx path has the same issue.

    nvme-pci: fix mempool alloc size

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-pci: fix mempool alloc size Convert the max size to bytes to match the units of the divisor that calculates the worst-case number of PRP entries. The result is used to determine how many PRP Lists are required. The code was previously rounding this to 1 list, but we can require 2 in the worst case. In that scenario, the driver would corrupt memory beyond the size provided by the mempool. While unlikely to occur (you'd need a 4MB in exactly 127 phys segments on a queue that doesn't support SGLs), this memory corruption has been observed by kfence.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix BUG in ext4_mb_new_inode_pa() due to overflow When we calculate the end position of ext4_free_extent, this position may be exactly where ext4_lblk_t (i.e. uint) overflows. For example, if ac_g_ex.fe_logical is 4294965248 and ac_orig_goal_len is 2048, then the computed end is 0x100000000, which is 0. btrfs: fix race when deleting free space root from the dirty cow roots list

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix race when deleting free space root from the dirty cow roots list When deleting the free space tree we are deleting the free space root from the list fs_info->dirty_cowonly_roots without taking the lock that protects it, which is struct btrfs_fs_info::trans_lock. This unsynchronized list manipulation may cause chaos if there's another concurrent manipulation of this list, such as when adding a root to it with ctree.c:add_root_to_dirty_list(). This can result in all sorts of weird failures caused by a race, such as the following crash: [337571.278245] general p

However, this function can be called more than once, and it will leak the adapter name if it had already been set. So check for NULL before setting it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix invalid free tracking in ext4_xattr_move_to_block() In ext4_xattr_move_to_block(), the value of the extended attribute which we need to move to an external block may be allocated by kvmalloc() if the value is stored in an external inode. So at the end of the function the code tried to check if this was the case by testing entry->e_value_inum. However, at this point, the pointer to the xattr entry is no longer valid, because it was removed from the original location where it had been stored. So we could end up calling kvfree() on a pointer which was not allocate
