md raid: fix hang when stopping arrays with metadata through dm-raid

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md raid: fix hang when stopping arrays with metadata through dm-raid When using device-mapper's dm-raid target, stopping a RAID array can cause the system to hang under specific conditions. This occurs when: - A dm-raid managed device tree is suspended from top to bottom (the top-level RAID device is suspended first, followed by its underlying metadata and data devices) - The top-level RAID device is then removed Removing the top-level device triggers a hang in the following sequence: the dm-raid destructor calls md_stop(), which tries to flush the write-intent b

drm/v3d: Set DMA segment size to avoid debug warnings

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/v3d: Set DMA segment size to avoid debug warnings When using V3D rendering with CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG enabled, the kernel occasionally reports a segment size mismatch. This is because 'max_seg_size' is not set. The kernel defaults to 64K. setting 'max_seg_size' to the maximum will prevent 'debug_dma_map_sg()' from complaining about the over-mapping of the V3D segment length. DMA-API: v3d 1002000000.v3d: mapping sg segment longer than device claims to support [len=8290304] [max=65536] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 493 at kernel/dma/debug.c:1179 debug_dma_map_sg+0x330/0x388 CPU:

btrfs: do not ASSERT() when the fs flips RO inside btrfs_repair_io_failure()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not ASSERT() when the fs flips RO inside btrfs_repair_io_failure() [BUG] There is a bug report that when btrfs hits ENOSPC error in a critical path, btrfs flips RO (this part is expected, although the ENOSPC bug still needs to be addressed). The problem is after the RO flip, if there is a read repair pending, we can hit the ASSERT() inside btrfs_repair_io_failure() like the following: BTRFS info (device vdc): relocating block group 30408704 flags metadata|raid1 ------------[ cut here ]------------ BTRFS: Transaction aborted (error -28) WARNING: fs/btrfs/

octeontx2-af: Workaround SQM/PSE stalls by disabling sticky

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-af: Workaround SQM/PSE stalls by disabling sticky NIX SQ manager sticky mode is known to cause stalls when multiple SQs share an SMQ and transmit concurrently. Additionally, PSE may deadlock on transitions between sticky and non-sticky transmissions. There is also a credit drop issue observed when certain condition clocks are gated. work around these hardware errata by: - Disabling SQM sticky operation: - Clear TM6 (bit 15) - Clear TM11 (bit 14) - Disabling sticky → non-sticky transition path that can deadlock PSE: - Clear TM5 (bit 23) - Preventing credit d

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rapidio: replace rio_free_net() with kfree() in rio_scan_alloc_net() When idtab allocation fails, net is not registered with rio_add_net() yet, so kfree(net) is sufficient to release the memory. Set mport->net to NULL to avoid dangling pointer.

kexec: derive purgatory entry from symbol

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kexec: derive purgatory entry from symbol kexec_load_purgatory() derives image->start by locating e_entry inside an SHF_EXECINSTR section. If the purgatory object contains multiple executable sections with overlapping sh_addr, the entrypoint check can match more than once and trigger a WARN. Derive the entry section from the purgatory_start symbol when present and compute image->start from its final placement. Keep the existing e_entry fallback for purgatories that do not expose the symbol. WARNING: kernel/kexec_file.c:1009 at kexec_load_purgatory+0x395/0x3c0, CPU#10: k

drm: Account property blob allocations to memcg

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm: Account property blob allocations to memcg DRM_IOCTL_MODE_CREATEPROPBLOB allows userspace to allocate arbitrary-sized property blobs backed by kernel memory. Currently, the blob data allocation is not accounted to the allocating process's memory cgroup, allowing unprivileged users to trigger unbounded kernel memory consumption and potentially cause system-wide OOM. Mark the property blob data allocation with GFP_KERNEL_ACCOUNT so that the memory is properly charged to the caller's memcg. This ensures existing cgroup memory limits apply and prevents uncontrolled kerne

xfrm: esp: avoid in-place decrypt on shared skb frags

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: esp: avoid in-place decrypt on shared skb frags MSG_SPLICE_PAGES can attach pages from a pipe directly to an skb. TCP marks such skbs with SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG after skb_splice_from_iter(), so later paths that may modify packet data can first make a private copy. The IPv4/IPv6 datagram append paths did not set this flag when splicing pages into UDP skbs. That leaves an ESP-in-UDP packet made from shared pipe pages looking like an ordinary uncloned nonlinear skb. ESP input then takes the no-COW fast path for uncloned skbs without a frag_list and decrypts in place over da

    jfs: nlink overflow in jfs_rename

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: nlink overflow in jfs_rename If nlink is maximal for a directory (-1) and inside that directory you perform a rename for some child directory (not moving from the parent), then the nlink of the first directory is first incremented and later decremented. Normally this is fine, but when nlink = -1 this causes a wrap around to 0, and then drop_nlink issues a warning. After applying the patch syzbot no longer issues any warnings. I also ran some basic fs tests to look for any regressions.

mailbox: Prevent out-of-bounds access in fw_mbox_index_xlate()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: Prevent out-of-bounds access in fw_mbox_index_xlate() Although it is guided that `#mbox-cells` must be at least 1, there are many instances of `#mbox-cells = <0>;` in the device tree. If that is the case and the corresponding mailbox controller does not provide `fw_xlate` and of_xlate` function pointers, `fw_mbox_index_xlate()` will be used by default and out-of-bounds accesses could occur due to lack of bounds check in that function.

ALSA: usb-audio: Add sanity check for OOB writes at silencing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Add sanity check for OOB writes at silencing At silencing the playback URB packets in the implicit fb mode before the actual playback, we blindly assume that the received packets fit with the buffer size. But when the setup in the capture stream differs from the playback stream (e.g. due to the USB core limitation of max packet size), such an inconsistency may lead to OOB writes to the buffer, resulting in a crash. For addressing it, add a sanity check of the transfer buffer size at prepare_silent_urb(), and stop the data copy if the received data overflo

APEI/GHES: ensure that won't go past CPER allocated record

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: APEI/GHES: ensure that won't go past CPER allocated record The logic at ghes_new() prevents allocating too large records, by checking if they're bigger than GHES_ESTATUS_MAX_SIZE (currently, 64KB). Yet, the allocation is done with the actual number of pages from the CPER bios table location, which can be smaller. Yet, a bad firmware could send data with a different size, which might be bigger than the allocated memory, causing an OOPS: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address fff00000f9b40000 Mem abort info: ESR = 0x0000000096000007 EC

scsi: ufs: core: Flush exception handling work when RPM level is zero

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ufs: core: Flush exception handling work when RPM level is zero Ensure that the exception event handling work is explicitly flushed during suspend when the runtime power management level is set to UFS_PM_LVL_0. When the RPM level is zero, the device power mode and link state both remain active. Previously, the UFS core driver bypassed flushing exception event handling jobs in this configuration. This created a race condition where the driver could attempt to access the host controller to handle an exception after the system had already entered a deep power-down state

md-cluster: fix NULL pointer dereference in process_metadata_update

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md-cluster: fix NULL pointer dereference in process_metadata_update The function process_metadata_update() blindly dereferences the 'thread' pointer (acquired via rcu_dereference_protected) within the wait_event() macro. While the code comment states "daemon thread must exist", there is a valid race condition window during the MD array startup sequence (md_run): 1. bitmap_load() is called, which invokes md_cluster_ops->join(). 2. join() starts the "cluster_recv" thread (recv_daemon). 3. At this point, recv_daemon is active and processing messages. 4. However, mddev->threa
