iommu/mediatek: Fix crash on isr after kexec()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/mediatek: Fix crash on isr after kexec() If the system is rebooted via isr(), the IRQ handler might be triggered before the domain is initialized. Resulting on an invalid memory access error. io_uring/af_unix: defer registered files gc to io_uring release

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/af_unix: defer registered files gc to io_uring release Instead of putting io_uring's registered files in unix_gc() we want it to be done by io_uring itself. The trick here is to consider io_uring registered files for cycle detection but not actually putting them down. Because io_uring can't register other ring instances, this will remove all refs to the ring file triggering the ->release path and clean up with io_ring_ctx_free(). usb: dwc3: Remove WARN_ON for device endpoint command timeouts

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc3: Remove WARN_ON for device endpoint command timeouts This commit addresses a rarely observed endpoint command timeout which causes kernel panic due to warn when 'panic_on_warn' is enabled and unnecessary call trace prints when 'panic_on_warn' is disabled. It is seen during fast software-controlled connect/disconnect testcases. The following is one such endpoint command timeout that we observed: 1. btrfs: abort transaction on unexpected eb generation at btrfs_copy_root()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: abort transaction on unexpected eb generation at btrfs_copy_root() If we find an unexpected generation for the extent buffer we are cloning at btrfs_copy_root(), we just WARN_ON() and don't error out and abort the transaction, meaning we allow to persist metadata with an unexpected generation. Instead of warning only, abort the transaction and return -EUCLEAN.

    xfrm: Duplicate SPI Handling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: Duplicate SPI Handling The issue originates when Strongswan initiates an XFRM_MSG_ALLOCSPI Netlink message, which triggers the kernel function xfrm_alloc_spi(). This function is expected to ensure uniqueness of the Security Parameter Index (SPI) for inbound Security Associations (SAs). However, it can return success even when the requested SPI is already in use, leading to duplicate SPIs assigned to multiple inbound SAs, differentiated only by their destination addresses. This behavior causes inconsistencies during SPI lookups for inbound packets. Since the lookup ma

soc: qcom: mdt_loader: Ensure we don't read past the ELF header

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: qcom: mdt_loader: Ensure we don't read past the ELF header When the MDT loader is used in remoteproc, the ELF header is sanitized beforehand, but that's not necessary the case for other clients. Validate the size of the firmware buffer to ensure that we don't read past the end as we iterate over the header. e_phentsize and e_shentsize are validated as well, to ensure that the assumptions about step size in the traversal are valid.

PCI: endpoint: Fix configfs group list head handling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: endpoint: Fix configfs group list head handling Doing a list_del() on the epf_group field of struct pci_epf_driver in pci_epf_remove_cfs() is not correct as this field is a list head, not a list entry. This list_del() call triggers a KASAN warning when an endpoint function driver which has a configfs attribute group is torn down: ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in pci_epf_remove_cfs+0x17c/0x198 Write of size 8 at addr ffff00010f4a0d80 by task rmmod/319 CPU: 3 UID: 0 PID: 319 Comm: rmmod Not tainted 6.

    jbd2: prevent softlockup in jbd2_log_do_checkpoint()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: prevent softlockup in jbd2_log_do_checkpoint() Both jbd2_log_do_checkpoint() and jbd2_journal_shrink_checkpoint_list() periodically release j_list_lock after processing a batch of buffers to avoid long hold times on the j_list_lock. However, since both functions contend for j_list_lock, the combined time spent waiting and processing can be significant. jbd2_journal_shrink_checkpoint_list() explicitly calls cond_resched() when need_resched() is true to avoid softlockups during prolonged operations. But jbd2_log_do_checkpoint() only exits its loop when need_resched() i

net: bridge: fix soft lockup in br_multicast_query_expired()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: fix soft lockup in br_multicast_query_expired() When set multicast_query_interval to a large value, the local variable 'time' in br_multicast_send_query() may overflow. If the time is smaller than jiffies, the timer will expire immediately, and then call mod_timer() again, which creates a loop and may trigger the following soft lockup issue. watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 221s! drm/hisilicon/hibmc: fix the hibmc loaded failed bug

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/hisilicon/hibmc: fix the hibmc loaded failed bug When hibmc loaded failed, the driver use hibmc_unload to free the resource, but the mutexes in mode.config are not init, which will access an NULL pointer. Just change goto statement to return, because hibnc_hw_init() doesn't need to free anything.

net: gso: Forbid IPv6 TSO with extensions on devices with only IPV6_CSUM

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: gso: Forbid IPv6 TSO with extensions on devices with only IPV6_CSUM When performing Generic Segmentation Offload (GSO) on an IPv6 packet that contains extension headers, the kernel incorrectly requests checksum offload if the egress device only advertises NETIF_F_IPV6_CSUM feature, which has a strict contract: it supports checksum offload only for plain TCP or UDP over IPv6 and explicitly does not support packets with extension headers. The current GSO logic violates this contract by failing to disable the feature for packets with extension headers, such as those used

    net/sched: Make cake_enqueue return NET_XMIT_CN when past buffer_limit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: Make cake_enqueue return NET_XMIT_CN when past buffer_limit The following setup can trigger a WARNING in htb_activate due to the condition: !cl->leaf.q->q.qlen tc qdisc del dev lo root tc qdisc add dev lo root handle 1: htb default 1 tc class add dev lo parent 1: classid 1:1 \ htb rate 64bit tc qdisc add dev lo parent 1:1 handle f: \ cake memlimit 1b ping -I lo -f -c1 -s64 -W0.001 127.0.0.1 This is because the low memlimit leads to a low buffer_limit, which causes packet dropping. netfilter: ctnetlink: remove refcounting in expectation dumpers

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ctnetlink: remove refcounting in expectation dumpers Same pattern as previous patch: do not keep the expectation object alive via refcount, only store a cookie value and then use that as the skip hint for dump resumption. AFAICS this has the same issue as the one resolved in the conntrack dumper, when we do if (!refcount_inc_not_zero(&exp->use)) to increment the refcount, there is a chance that exp == last, which causes a double-increment of the refcount and subsequent memory leak.

ACPI: APEI: send SIGBUS to current task if synchronous memory error not recovered

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: APEI: send SIGBUS to current task if synchronous memory error not recovered If a synchronous error is detected as a result of user-space process triggering a 2-bit uncorrected error, the CPU will take a synchronous error exception such as Synchronous External Abort (SEA) on Arm64. The kernel will queue a memory_failure() work which poisons the related page, unmaps the page, and then sends a SIGBUS to the process, so that a system wide panic can be avoided. However, no memory_failure() work will be queued when abnormal synchronous errors occur. These errors can includ

usb: core: config: Prevent OOB read in SS endpoint companion parsing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: core: config: Prevent OOB read in SS endpoint companion parsing usb_parse_ss_endpoint_companion() checks descriptor type before length, enabling a potentially odd read outside of the buffer size. Fix this up by checking the size first before looking at any of the fields in the descriptor.
