drm/rockchip: dw_hdmi: cleanup drm encoder during unbind

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/rockchip: dw_hdmi: cleanup drm encoder during unbind This fixes a use-after-free crash during rmmod. The DRM encoder is embedded inside the larger rockchip_hdmi, which is allocated with the component. The component memory gets freed before the main drm device is destroyed. Fix it by running encoder cleanup before tearing down its container. [moved encoder cleanup above clk_disable, similar to bind-error-path]

    x86/apic: Don't disable x2APIC if locked

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/apic: Don't disable x2APIC if locked The APIC supports two modes, legacy APIC (or xAPIC), and Extended APIC (or x2APIC). X2APIC mode is mostly compatible with legacy APIC, but it disables the memory-mapped APIC interface in favor of one that uses MSRs. The APIC mode is controlled by the EXT bit in the APIC MSR. The MMIO/xAPIC interface has some problems, most notably the APIC LEAK [1]. This bug allows an attacker to use the APIC MMIO interface to extract data from the SGX enclave. Introduce support for a new feature that will allow the BIOS to lock the APIC in x2AP

scsi: qla2xxx: Clear cmds after chip reset

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Clear cmds after chip reset Commit aefed3e5548f ("scsi: qla2xxx: target: Fix offline port handling and host reset handling") caused two problems: 1. Commands sent to FW, after chip reset got stuck and never freed as FW is not going to respond to them anymore. 2. BUG_ON(cmd->sg_mapped) in qlt_free_cmd(). Commit 26f9ce53817a ("scsi: qla2xxx: Fix missed DMA unmap for aborted commands") attempted to fix this, but introduced another bug under different circumstances when two different CPUs were racing to call qlt_unmap_sg() at the same time: BUG_

ima: Handle error code returned by ima_filter_rule_match()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: Handle error code returned by ima_filter_rule_match() In ima_match_rules(), if ima_filter_rule_match() returns -ENOENT due to the rule being NULL, the function incorrectly skips the 'if (!rc)' check and sets 'result = true'. The LSM rule is considered a match, causing extra files to be measured by IMA. This issue can be reproduced in the following scenario: After unloading the SELinux policy module via 'semodule -d', if an IMA measurement is triggered before ima_lsm_rules is updated, in ima_match_rules(), the first call to ima_filter_rule_match() returns -ESTALE. isdn: mISDN: hfcsusb: fix memory leak in hfcsusb_probe()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: isdn: mISDN: hfcsusb: fix memory leak in hfcsusb_probe() In hfcsusb_probe(), the memory allocated for ctrl_urb gets leaked when setup_instance() fails with an error code. Fix that by freeing the urb before freeing the hw structure. Also change the error paths to use the goto ladder style. Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool.

wifi: rtl8xxxu: Fix memory leaks with RTL8723BU, RTL8192EU

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtl8xxxu: Fix memory leaks with RTL8723BU, RTL8192EU The wifi + bluetooth combo chip RTL8723BU can leak memory (especially?) when it's connected to a bluetooth audio device. The busy bluetooth traffic generates lots of C2H (card to host) messages, which are not freed correctly. To fix this, move the dev_kfree_skb() call in rtl8xxxu_c2hcmd_callback() inside the loop where skb_dequeue() is called. The RTL8192EU leaks memory because the C2H messages are added to the queue and left there forever. (This was fine in the past because it probably wasn't sending any C2H mess

netfilter: nf_tables: fix underflow in chain reference counter

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix underflow in chain reference counter Set element addition error path decrements reference counter on chains twice: once on element release and again via nft_data_release(). Then, d6b478666ffa ("netfilter: nf_tables: fix underflow in object reference counter") incorrectly fixed this by removing the stateful object reference count decrement. Restore the stateful object decrement as in b91d90368837 ("netfilter: nf_tables: fix leaking object reference count") and let nft_data_release() decrement the chain reference counter, so this is done only once.

RDMA/rxe: Fix the error "trying to register non-static key in rxe_cleanup_task"

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix the error "trying to register non-static key in rxe_cleanup_task" In the function rxe_create_qp(), rxe_qp_from_init() is called to initialize qp, internally things like rxe_init_task are not setup until rxe_qp_init_req(). If an error occurred before this point then the unwind will call rxe_cleanup() and eventually to rxe_qp_do_cleanup()/rxe_cleanup_task() which will oops when trying to access the uninitialized spinlock. If rxe_init_task is not executed, rxe_cleanup_task will not be called.

sched/psi: use kernfs polling functions for PSI trigger polling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/psi: use kernfs polling functions for PSI trigger polling Destroying psi trigger in cgroup_file_release causes UAF issues when a cgroup is removed from under a polling process. This is happening because cgroup removal causes a call to cgroup_file_release while the actual file is still alive. Destroying the trigger at this point would also destroy its waitqueue head and if there is still a polling process on that file accessing the waitqueue, it will step on the freed pointer: do_select vfs_poll do_rmdir cgroup

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: interconnect: Fix locking for runpm vs reclaim For cases where icc_bw_set() can be called in callbaths that could deadlock against shrinker/reclaim, such as runpm resume, we need to decouple the icc locking. Introduce a new icc_bw_lock for cases where we need to serialize bw aggregation and update to decouple that from paths that require memory allocation such as node/link creation/ destruction. ceph: fix potential use-after-free bug when trimming caps

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: fix potential use-after-free bug when trimming caps When trimming the caps and just after the 'session->s_cap_lock' is released in ceph_iterate_session_caps() the cap maybe removed by another thread, and when using the stale cap memory in the callbacks it will trigger use-after-free crash. We need to check the existence of the cap just after the 'ci->i_ceph_lock' being acquired. And do nothing if it's already removed.

wifi: ath10k: Delay the unmapping of the buffer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath10k: Delay the unmapping of the buffer On WCN3990, we are seeing a rare scenario where copy engine hardware is sending a copy complete interrupt to the host driver while still processing the buffer that the driver has sent, this is leading into an SMMU fault triggering kernel panic. This is happening on copy engine channel 3 (CE3) where the driver normally enqueues WMI commands to the firmware. Upon receiving a copy complete interrupt, host driver will immediately unmap and frees the buffer presuming that hardware has processed the buffer. In the issue case, upon r

smack: fix bug: unprivileged task can create labels

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smack: fix bug: unprivileged task can create labels If an unprivileged task is allowed to relabel itself (/smack/relabel-self is not empty), it can freely create new labels by writing their names into own /proc/PID/attr/smack/current This occurs because do_setattr() imports the provided label in advance, before checking "relabel-self" list. This change ensures that the "relabel-self" list is checked before importing the label.
