iommu/vt-d: Flush cache for PASID table before using it

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Flush cache for PASID table before using it When writing the address of a freshly allocated zero-initialized PASID table to a PASID directory entry, do that after the CPU cache flush for this PASID table, not before it, to avoid the time window when this PASID table may be already used by non-coherent IOMMU hardware while its contents in RAM is still some random old data, not zero-initialized.

netfilter: nf_conncount: increase the connection clean up limit to 64

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conncount: increase the connection clean up limit to 64 After the optimization to only perform one GC per jiffy, a new problem was introduced. If more than 8 new connections are tracked per jiffy the list won't be cleaned up fast enough possibly reaching the limit wrongly. In order to prevent this issue, only skip the GC if it was already triggered during the same jiffy and the increment is lower than the clean up limit. In addition, increase the clean up limit to 64 connections to avoid triggering GC too often and do more effective GCs. This has been tested

netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: do shared-unconfirmed check before segmentation

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: do shared-unconfirmed check before segmentation Ulrich reports a regression with nfqueue: If an application did not set the 'F_GSO' capability flag and a gso packet with an unconfirmed nf_conn entry is received all packets are now dropped instead of queued, because the check happens after skb_gso_segment(). In that case, we did have exclusive ownership of the skb and its associated conntrack entry. The elevated use count is due to skb_clone happening via skb_gso_segment(). Move the check so that its peformed vs. the aggregated packet. Then,

scsi: csiostor: Fix dereference of null pointer rn

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: csiostor: Fix dereference of null pointer rn The error exit path when rn is NULL ends up deferencing the null pointer rn via the use of the macro CSIO_INC_STATS. Fix this by adding a new error return path label after the use of the macro to avoid the deference.

RDMA/uverbs: Validate wqe_size before using it in ib_uverbs_post_send

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Validate wqe_size before using it in ib_uverbs_post_send ib_uverbs_post_send() uses cmd.wqe_size from userspace without any validation before passing it to kmalloc() and using the allocated buffer as struct ib_uverbs_send_wr. If a user provides a small wqe_size value (e.g., 1), kmalloc() will succeed, but subsequent accesses to user_wr->opcode, user_wr->num_sge, and other fields will read beyond the allocated buffer, resulting in an out-of-bounds read from kernel heap memory. This could potentially leak sensitive kernel information to userspace. Additionally,

ata: libata-scsi: avoid Non-NCQ command starvation

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-scsi: avoid Non-NCQ command starvation When a non-NCQ command is issued while NCQ commands are being executed, ata_scsi_qc_issue() indicates to the SCSI layer that the command issuing should be deferred by returning SCSI_MLQUEUE_XXX_BUSY. This command deferring is correct and as mandated by the ACS specifications since NCQ and non-NCQ commands cannot be mixed. However, in the case of a host adapter using multiple submission queues, when the target device is under a constant load of NCQ commands, there are no guarantees that requeueing the non-NCQ command will

RDMA/rxe: Fix double free in rxe_srq_from_init

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix double free in rxe_srq_from_init In rxe_srq_from_init(), the queue pointer 'q' is assigned to 'srq->rq.queue' before copying the SRQ number to user space. If copy_to_user() fails, the function calls rxe_queue_cleanup() to free the queue, but leaves the now-invalid pointer in 'srq->rq.queue'. The caller of rxe_srq_from_init() (rxe_create_srq) eventually calls rxe_srq_cleanup() upon receiving the error, which triggers a second rxe_queue_cleanup() on the same memory, leading to a double free. The call trace looks like this: kmem_cache_free+0x.../0x... rxe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: fix NULL sock in aa_sock_file_perm Deal with the potential that sock and sock-sk can be NULL during socket setup or teardown. This could lead to an oops. The fix for NULL pointer dereference in __unix_needs_revalidation shows this is at least possible for af_unix sockets. While the fix for af_unix sockets applies for newer mediation this is still the fall back path for older af_unix mediation and other sockets, so ensure it is covered.

bareudp: fix NULL pointer dereference in bareudp_fill_metadata_dst()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bareudp: fix NULL pointer dereference in bareudp_fill_metadata_dst() bareudp_fill_metadata_dst() passes bareudp->sock to udp_tunnel6_dst_lookup() in the IPv6 path without a NULL check. The socket is only created in bareudp_open() and NULLed in bareudp_stop(), so calling this function while the device is down triggers a NULL dereference via sock->sk. netfilter: arp_tables: fix IEEE1394 ARP payload parsing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: arp_tables: fix IEEE1394 ARP payload parsing Weiming Shi says: "arp_packet_match() unconditionally parses the ARP payload assuming two hardware addresses are present (source and target). However, IPv4-over-IEEE1394 ARP (RFC 2734) omits the target hardware address field, and arp_hdr_len() already accounts for this by returning a shorter length for ARPHRD_IEEE1394 devices. As a result, on IEEE1394 interfaces arp_packet_match() advances past a nonexistent target hardware address and reads the wrong bytes for both the target device address comparison and the target

slip: bound decode() reads against the compressed packet length

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: slip: bound decode() reads against the compressed packet length slhc_uncompress() parses a VJ-compressed TCP header by advancing a pointer through the packet via decode() and pull16(). Neither helper bounds-checks against isize, and decode() masks its return with & 0xffff so it can never return the -1 that callers test for -- those error paths are dead code. A short compressed frame whose change byte requests optional fields lets decode() read past the end of the packet. The over-read bytes are folded into the cached cstate and reflected into subsequent reconstructed packe

slip: reject VJ receive packets on instances with no rstate array

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: slip: reject VJ receive packets on instances with no rstate array slhc_init() accepts rslots == 0 as a valid configuration, with the documented meaning of 'no receive compression'. In that case the allocation loop in slhc_init() is skipped, so comp->rstate stays NULL and comp->rslot_limit stays 0 (from the kzalloc of struct slcompress). The receive helpers do not defend against that configuration. slhc_uncompress() dereferences comp->rstate[x] when the VJ header carries an explicit connection ID, and slhc_remember() later assigns cs = &comp->rstate[...] after only comparin

    netfilter: nfnetlink_osf: fix divide-by-zero in OSF_WSS_MODULO

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_osf: fix divide-by-zero in OSF_WSS_MODULO nf_osf_match_one() computes ctx->window % f->wss.val in the OSF_WSS_MODULO branch with no guard for f->wss.val == 0. A CAP_NET_ADMIN user can add such a fingerprint via nfnetlink; a subsequent matching TCP SYN divides by zero and panics the kernel. Reject the bogus fingerprint in nfnl_osf_add_callback() above the per-option for-loop. f->wss is per-fingerprint, not per-option, so the check must run regardless of f->opt_num (including 0). Also reject wss.wc >= OSF_WSS_MAX; nf_osf_match_one() already treats that a

openvswitch: cap upcall PID array size and pre-size vport replies

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openvswitch: cap upcall PID array size and pre-size vport replies The vport netlink reply helpers allocate a fixed-size skb with nlmsg_new(NLMSG_DEFAULT_SIZE, ...) but serialize the full upcall PID array via ovs_vport_get_upcall_portids(). Since ovs_vport_set_upcall_portids() accepts any non-zero multiple of sizeof(u32) with no upper bound, a CAP_NET_ADMIN user can install a PID array large enough to overflow the reply buffer, causing nla_put() to fail with -EMSGSIZE and hitting BUG_ON(err < 0). On systems with unprivileged user namespaces enabled (e.g., Ubuntu default),

bpf: reject negative CO-RE accessor indices in bpf_core_parse_spec()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: reject negative CO-RE accessor indices in bpf_core_parse_spec() CO-RE accessor strings are colon-separated indices that describe a path from a root BTF type to a target field, e.g. "0:1:2" walks through nested struct members. bpf_core_parse_spec() parses each component with sscanf("%d"), so negative values like -1 are silently accepted. The subsequent bounds checks (access_idx >= btf_vlen(t)) only guard the upper bound and always pass for negative values because C integer promotion converts the __u16 btf_vlen result to int, making the comparison (int)(-1) >= (int)(N)

bpf: fix end-of-list detection in cgroup_storage_get_next_key()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: fix end-of-list detection in cgroup_storage_get_next_key() list_next_entry() never returns NULL -- when the current element is the last entry it wraps to the list head via container_of(). The subsequent NULL check is therefore dead code and get_next_key() never returns -ENOENT for the last element, instead reading storage->key from a bogus pointer that aliases internal map fields and copying the result to userspace. Replace it with list_entry_is_head() so the function correctly returns -ENOENT when there are no more entries.
