sched/psi: use kernfs polling functions for PSI trigger polling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/psi: use kernfs polling functions for PSI trigger polling Destroying psi trigger in cgroup_file_release causes UAF issues when a cgroup is removed from under a polling process. This is happening because cgroup removal causes a call to cgroup_file_release while the actual file is still alive. Destroying the trigger at this point would also destroy its waitqueue head and if there is still a polling process on that file accessing the waitqueue, it will step on the freed pointer: do_select vfs_poll do_rmdir cgroup

interconnect: Fix locking for runpm vs reclaim

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: interconnect: Fix locking for runpm vs reclaim For cases where icc_bw_set() can be called in callbaths that could deadlock against shrinker/reclaim, such as runpm resume, we need to decouple the icc locking. Introduce a new icc_bw_lock for cases where we need to serialize bw aggregation and update to decouple that from paths that require memory allocation such as node/link creation/ destruction. Fixes this lockdep splat: ====================================================== WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected 6.2.0-rc8-debug+ #554 Not tainted

staging: r8712: Fix memory leak in _r8712_init_xmit_priv()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: r8712: Fix memory leak in _r8712_init_xmit_priv() In the above mentioned routine, memory is allocated in several places. If the first succeeds and a later one fails, the routine will leak memory. This patch fixes commit 2865d42c78a9 ("staging: r8712u: Add the new driver to the mainline kernel"). A potential memory leak in r8712_xmit_resource_alloc() is also addressed.

wifi: cfg80211: ocb: don't leave if not joined

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: ocb: don't leave if not joined If there's no OCB state, don't ask the driver/mac80211 to leave, since that's just confusing. Since set/clear the chandef state, that's a simple check.

ceph: fix potential use-after-free bug when trimming caps

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: fix potential use-after-free bug when trimming caps When trimming the caps and just after the 'session->s_cap_lock' is released in ceph_iterate_session_caps() the cap maybe removed by another thread, and when using the stale cap memory in the callbacks it will trigger use-after-free crash. We need to check the existence of the cap just after the 'ci->i_ceph_lock' being acquired. And do nothing if it's already removed.

HSI: ssi_protocol: fix potential resource leak in ssip_pn_open()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HSI: ssi_protocol: fix potential resource leak in ssip_pn_open() ssip_pn_open() claims the HSI client's port with hsi_claim_port(). When hsi_register_port_event() gets some error and returns a negetive value, the HSI client's port should be released with hsi_release_port(). Fix it by calling hsi_release_port() when hsi_register_port_event() fails.

USB: gadget: Fix use-after-free during usb config switch

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: gadget: Fix use-after-free during usb config switch In the process of switching USB config from rndis to other config, if the hardware does not support the ->pullup callback, or the hardware encounters a low probability fault, both of them may cause the ->pullup callback to fail, which will then cause a system panic (use after free). The gadget drivers sometimes need to be unloaded regardless of the hardware's behavior. wifi: ath10k: Delay the unmapping of the buffer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath10k: Delay the unmapping of the buffer On WCN3990, we are seeing a rare scenario where copy engine hardware is sending a copy complete interrupt to the host driver while still processing the buffer that the driver has sent, this is leading into an SMMU fault triggering kernel panic. This is happening on copy engine channel 3 (CE3) where the driver normally enqueues WMI commands to the firmware. Upon receiving a copy complete interrupt, host driver will immediately unmap and frees the buffer presuming that hardware has processed the buffer. In the issue case, upon r

smack: fix bug: unprivileged task can create labels

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smack: fix bug: unprivileged task can create labels If an unprivileged task is allowed to relabel itself (/smack/relabel-self is not empty), it can freely create new labels by writing their names into own /proc/PID/attr/smack/current This occurs because do_setattr() imports the provided label in advance, before checking "relabel-self" list. This change ensures that the "relabel-self" list is checked before importing the label.

    crypto: asymmetric_keys - prevent overflow in asymmetric_key_generate_id

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: asymmetric_keys - prevent overflow in asymmetric_key_generate_id Use check_add_overflow() to guard against potential integer overflows when adding the binary blob lengths and the size of an asymmetric_key_id structure and return ERR_PTR(-EOVERFLOW) accordingly. This prevents a possible buffer overflow when copying data from potentially malicious X.509 certificate fields that can be arbitrarily large, such as ASN.1 INTEGER serial numbers, issuer names, etc.

RDMA/rxe: Fix null deref on srq->rq.queue after resize failure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix null deref on srq->rq.queue after resize failure A NULL pointer dereference can occur in rxe_srq_chk_attr() when ibv_modify_srq() is invoked twice in succession under certain error conditions. The first call may fail in rxe_queue_resize(), which leads rxe_srq_from_attr() to set srq->rq.queue = NULL. The second call then triggers a crash (null deref) when accessing srq->rq.queue->buf->index_mask. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtl818x: rtl8187: Fix potential buffer underflow in rtl8187_rx_cb() The rtl8187_rx_cb() calculates the rx descriptor header address by subtracting its size from the skb tail pointer. However, it does not validate if the received packet (skb->len from urb->actual_length) is large enough to contain this header. If a truncated packet is received, this will lead to a buffer underflow, reading memory before the start of the skb data area, and causing a kernel panic. Concurrent registration, unregistration and lookups can race, leading to: 1 use-after-free if an alias entry is removed while being read, 2 duplicate entries when two threads register the same alias, 3 inconsistent alias mappings observed by consumers.
