drm/amd/display: Clamp VBIOS HDMI retimer register count to array size

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Clamp VBIOS HDMI retimer register count to array size [Why & How] The VBIOS integrated info tables (v1_11 and v2_1) contain HdmiRegNum and Hdmi6GRegNum fields that are used as loop bounds when copying retimer I2C register settings into fixed-size arrays (dp*_ext_hdmi_reg_settings[9] and dp*_ext_hdmi_6g_reg_settings[3]). These u8 fields are not validated before use, so a malformed VBIOS can specify values up to 255, causing an out-of-bounds heap write during driver probe. Clamp each register count to the destination array size using min_t() before the copy

drm/amd/display: Fix NULL deref and buffer over-read in SDP debugfs

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix NULL deref and buffer over-read in SDP debugfs [Why & How] dp_sdp_message_debugfs_write() dereferences connector->base.state->crtc without checking for NULL. A connector can be connected but not bound to any CRTC (e.g. after hot-plug before the next atomic commit), causing a kernel crash when writing to the sdp_message debugfs node. The function also ignores the user-provided size argument and always passes 36 bytes to copy_from_user(), reading past the user buffer when size < 36. Fix both issues by: - Returning -ENODEV when connector->base.state or s

netfilter: nft_fib: fix stale stack leak via the OIFNAME register

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_fib: fix stale stack leak via the OIFNAME register For NFT_FIB_RESULT_OIFNAME the destination register is declared with len = IFNAMSIZ (four 32-bit registers), but on the lookup-fail, RTN_LOCAL and oif-mismatch paths nft_fib{4,6}_eval() only writes one register via "*dest = 0". The remaining three registers are left as whatever was on the stack in nft_do_chain()'s struct nft_regs, and a downstream expression that loads the register span can leak that uninitialised kernel stack to userspace. The NFTA_FIB_F_PRESENT existence check has the same shape: it is onl

RDMA/umem: Fix truncation for block sizes >= 4G

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/umem: Fix truncation for block sizes >= 4G When the iommu is used the linearization of the mapping can give a single block that is very large split across multiple SG entries. When __rdma_block_iter_next() reassembles the split SG entries it is overflowing the 32 bit stack values and computed the wrong DMA addresses for blocks after the truncation. Use the right types to hold DMA addresses.

netfilter: require Ethernet MAC header before using eth_hdr()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: require Ethernet MAC header before using eth_hdr() `ip6t_eui64`, `xt_mac`, the `bitmap:ip,mac`, `hash:ip,mac`, and `hash:mac` ipset types, and `nf_log_syslog` access `eth_hdr(skb)` after either assuming that the skb is associated with an Ethernet device or checking only that the `ETH_HLEN` bytes at `skb_mac_header(skb)` lie between `skb->head` and `skb->data`. Make these paths first verify that the skb is associated with an Ethernet device, that the MAC header was set, and that it spans at least a full Ethernet header before accessing `eth_hdr(skb)`.

    fs/omfs: reject s_sys_blocksize smaller than OMFS_DIR_START

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/omfs: reject s_sys_blocksize smaller than OMFS_DIR_START omfs_fill_super() rejects oversized s_sys_blocksize values (> PAGE_SIZE), but it does not reject values smaller than OMFS_DIR_START (0x1b8 = 440). Later, omfs_make_empty() uses sbi->s_sys_blocksize - OMFS_DIR_START as the length argument to memset(). Since s_sys_blocksize is u32, a crafted filesystem image with s_sys_blocksize < OMFS_DIR_START causes an unsigned underflow there, wrapping to a value near 2^32. That drives a ~4 GiB memset() from bh->b_data + OMFS_DIR_START and overwrites kernel memory far be

fs/mbcache: cancel shrink work before destroying the cache

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/mbcache: cancel shrink work before destroying the cache mb_cache_destroy() calls shrinker_free() and then frees all cache entries and the cache itself, but it does not cancel the pending c_shrink_work work item first. If mb_cache_entry_create() schedules c_shrink_work via schedule_work() and the work item is still pending or running when mb_cache_destroy() runs, mb_cache_shrink_worker() will access the cache after its memory has been freed, causing a use-after-free. PCI: use generic driver_override infrastructure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. [1]

wifi: rtlwifi: pci: fix possible use-after-free caused by unfinished irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtlwifi: pci: fix possible use-after-free caused by unfinished irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet The irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet is initialized in rtl_pci_init() and scheduled when RTL_IMR_BCNINT interrupt is triggered by hardware. But it is never killed in rtl_pci_deinit(). When the rtlwifi card probe fails or is being detached, the ieee80211_hw is deallocated. However, irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet may still be running or pending, leading to use-after-free when the freed ieee80211_hw is accessed in _rtl_pci_prepare_bcn_tasklet(). Similar to irq_tasklet, add tasklet_kill() in rtl_pci_d

bpf: test_run: Fix the null pointer dereference issue in bpf_lwt_xmit_push_encap

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: test_run: Fix the null pointer dereference issue in bpf_lwt_xmit_push_encap The bpf_lwt_xmit_push_encap helper needs to access skb_dst(skb)->dev to calculate the needed headroom: err = skb_cow_head(skb, len + LL_RESERVED_SPACE(skb_dst(skb)->dev)); But skb->_skb_refdst may not be initialized when the skb is set up by bpf_prog_test_run_skb function. Executing bpf_lwt_push_ip_encap function in this scenario will trigger null pointer dereference, causing a kernel crash as Yinhao reported: [ 105.186365] BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000

    net: pull headers in qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: pull headers in qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init() Most ndo_start_xmit() methods expects headers of gso packets to be already in skb->head. net/core/tso.c users are particularly at risk, because tso_build_hdr() does a memcpy(hdr, skb->data, hdr_len); qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init() already does a dissection of gso packets. Use pskb_may_pull() instead of skb_header_pointer() to make sure drivers do not have to reimplement this. Some malicious packets could be fed, detect them so that we can drop them sooner with a new SKB_DROP_REASON_SKB_BAD_GSO drop_reason.

bpf: Fix use-after-free in offloaded map/prog info fill

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix use-after-free in offloaded map/prog info fill When querying info for an offloaded BPF map or program, bpf_map_offload_info_fill_ns() and bpf_prog_offload_info_fill_ns() obtain the network namespace with get_net(dev_net(offmap->netdev)). However, the associated netdev's netns may be racing with teardown during netns destruction. If the netns refcount has already reached 0, get_net() performs a refcount_t increment on 0, triggering: refcount_t: addition on 0; use-after-free. Although rtnl_lock and bpf_devs_lock ensure the netdev pointer remains valid, they canno

We want to return the tx_cb that gets rewinded, so we must rewind the pointer first then return the tx_cb that it points to. That way the txcb can be correctly cleaned up.

    net: hamradio: 6pack: fix uninit-value in sixpack_receive_buf

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hamradio: 6pack: fix uninit-value in sixpack_receive_buf sixpack_receive_buf() does not properly skip bytes with TTY error flags. The while loop iterates through the flags buffer but never advances the data pointer (cp), and passes the original count (including error bytes) to sixpack_decode(). This causes sixpack_decode() to process bytes that should have been skipped due to TTY errors. The TTY layer does not guarantee that cp[i] holds a meaningful value when fp[i] is set, so passing those positions to sixpack_decode() results in KMSAN reporting an uninit-value read.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_fw: fix NULL dereference of "old" filters before change() Like pointed out by Sashiko [1], since commit ed76f5edccc9 ("net: sched: protect filter_chain list with filter_chain_lock mutex") TC filters are added to a shared block and published to datapath before their ->change() function is called. This is a problem for cls_fw: an invalid filter created with the "old" method can still classify some packets before it is destroyed by the validation logic added by Xiang. Therefore, insisting with repeated runs of the following script: # ip link add dev crash0 typ

bpf: Fix same-register dst/src OOB read and pointer leak in sock_ops

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix same-register dst/src OOB read and pointer leak in sock_ops When a BPF sock_ops program accesses ctx fields with dst_reg == src_reg, the SOCK_OPS_GET_SK() and SOCK_OPS_GET_FIELD() macros fail to zero the destination register in the !fullsock / !locked_tcp_sock path. Both macros borrow a temporary register to check is_fullsock / is_locked_tcp_sock when dst_reg == src_reg, because dst_reg holds the ctx pointer. When the check is false (e.g., TCP_NEW_SYN_RECV state with a request_sock), dst_reg should be zeroed but is not, leaving the stale ctx pointer: - SOCK_OPS_
