net: fix fanout UAF in packet_release() via NETDEV_UP race

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fix fanout UAF in packet_release() via NETDEV_UP race `packet_release()` has a race window where `NETDEV_UP` can re-register a socket into a fanout group's `arr[]` array. The re-registration is not cleaned up by `fanout_release()`, leaving a dangling pointer in the fanout array. `packet_release()` does NOT zero `po->num` in its `bind_lock` section. After releasing `bind_lock`, `po->num` is still non-zero and `po->ifindex` still matches the bound device. A concurrent `packet_notifier(NETDEV_UP)` that already found the socket in `sklist` can re-register the hook. For fan

udp: Fix wildcard bind conflict check when using hash2

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udp: Fix wildcard bind conflict check when using hash2 When binding a udp_sock to a local address and port, UDP uses two hashes (udptable->hash and udptable->hash2) for collision detection. The current code switches to "hash2" when hslot->count > 10. "hash2" is keyed by local address and local port. "hash" is keyed by local port only. The issue can be shown in the following bind sequence (pseudo code): bind(fd1, "[fd00::1]:8888") bind(fd2, "[fd00::2]:8888") bind(fd3, "[fd00::3]:8888") bind(fd4, "[fd00::4]:8888") bind(fd5, "[fd00::5]:8888") bind(fd6, "[fd00::6]:8888

team: fix header_ops type confusion with non-Ethernet ports

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: team: fix header_ops type confusion with non-Ethernet ports Similar to commit 950803f72547 ("bonding: fix type confusion in bond_setup_by_slave()") team has the same class of header_ops type confusion. For non-Ethernet ports, team_setup_by_port() copies port_dev->header_ops directly. When the team device later calls dev_hard_header() or dev_parse_header(), these callbacks can run with the team net_device instead of the real lower device, so netdev_priv(dev) is interpreted as the wrong private type and can crash. The syzbot report shows a crash in bond_header_create(), but

Bluetooth: btintel: serialize btintel_hw_error() with hci_req_sync_lock

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btintel: serialize btintel_hw_error() with hci_req_sync_lock btintel_hw_error() issues two __hci_cmd_sync() calls (HCI_OP_RESET and Intel exception-info retrieval) without holding hci_req_sync_lock(). This lets it race against hci_dev_do_close() -> btintel_shutdown_combined(), which also runs __hci_cmd_sync() under the same lock. When both paths manipulate hdev->req_status/req_rsp concurrently, the close path may free the response skb first, and the still-running hw_error path hits a slab-use-after-free in kfree_skb(). Wrap the whole recovery sequence in hci_r

Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix ERTM re-init and zero pdu_len infinite loop

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix ERTM re-init and zero pdu_len infinite loop l2cap_config_req() processes CONFIG_REQ for channels in BT_CONNECTED state to support L2CAP reconfiguration (e.g. MTU changes). However, since both CONF_INPUT_DONE and CONF_OUTPUT_DONE are already set from the initial configuration, the reconfiguration path falls through to l2cap_ertm_init(), which re-initializes tx_q, srej_q, srej_list, and retrans_list without freeing the previous allocations and sets chan->sdu to NULL without freeing the existing skb. This leaks all previously allocated ERTM resources. Ad

Bluetooth: btusb: clamp SCO altsetting table indices

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: clamp SCO altsetting table indices btusb_work() maps the number of active SCO links to USB alternate settings through a three-entry lookup table when CVSD traffic uses transparent voice settings. The lookup currently indexes alts[] with data->sco_num - 1 without first constraining sco_num to the number of available table entries. While the table only defines alternate settings for up to three SCO links, data->sco_num comes from hci_conn_num() and is used directly. Cap the lookup to the last table entry before indexing it so the driver keeps selecting the

net: macb: use the current queue number for stats

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: macb: use the current queue number for stats There's a potential mismatch between the memory reserved for statistics and the amount of memory written. gem_get_sset_count() correctly computes the number of stats based on the active queues, whereas gem_get_ethtool_stats() indiscriminately copies data using the maximum number of queues, and in the case the number of active queues is less than MACB_MAX_QUEUES, this results in a OOB write as observed in the KASAN splat. ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds in

RDMA/efa: Fix use of completion ctx after free

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Fix use of completion ctx after free On admin queue completion handling, if the admin command completed with error we print data from the completion context. The issue is that we already freed the completion context in polling/interrupts handler which means we print data from context in an unknown state (it might be already used again). Change the admin submission flow so alloc/dealloc of the context will be symmetric and dealloc will be called after any potential use of the context.

    spi: use generic driver_override infrastructure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. [1] Also note that we do not enable the driver_override feature of struct bus_type, as SPI - in contrast to most other buses - pass

hwmon: (pmbus/core) Protect regulator operations with mutex

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/core) Protect regulator operations with mutex The regulator operations pmbus_regulator_get_voltage(), pmbus_regulator_set_voltage(), and pmbus_regulator_list_voltage() access PMBus registers and shared data but were not protected by the update_lock mutex. This could lead to race conditions. However, adding mutex protection directly to these functions causes a deadlock because pmbus_regulator_notify() (which calls regulator_notifier_call_chain()) is often called with the mutex already held (e.g., from pmbus_fault_handler()). If a regulator callback then calls

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-fsl-lpspi: fix teardown order issue (UAF) There is a teardown order issue in the driver. The SPI controller is registered using devm_spi_register_controller(), which delays unregistration of the SPI controller until after the fsl_lpspi_remove() function returns. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix memory leaks and NULL deref in smb2_lock() smb2_lock() has three error handling issues after list_del() detaches smb_lock from lock_list at no_check_cl: 1) If vfs_lock_file() returns an unexpected error in the non-UNLOCK path, goto out leaks smb_lock and its flock because the out: handler only iterates lock_list and rollback_list, neither of which contains the detached smb_lock. 2) If vfs_lock_file() returns -ENOENT in the UNLOCK path, goto out leaks smb_lock and flock for the same reason. The error code returned to the dispatcher is also stale.

ksmbd: do not expire session on binding failure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: do not expire session on binding failure When a multichannel session binding request fails (e.g. wrong password), the error path unconditionally sets sess->state = SMB2_SESSION_EXPIRED. However, during binding, sess points to the target session looked up via ksmbd_session_lookup_slowpath() -- which belongs to another connection's user. This allows a remote attacker to invalidate any active session by simply sending a binding request with a wrong password (DoS). Fix this by skipping session expiration when the failed request was a binding attempt, since the session d

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: mc, v4l2: serialize REINIT and REQBUFS with req_queue_mutex MEDIA_REQUEST_IOC_REINIT can run concurrently with VIDIOC_REQBUFS(0) queue teardown paths. This can race request object cleanup against vb2 queue cancellation and lead to use-after-free reports. We already serialize request queueing against STREAMON/OFF with req_queue_mutex. Extend that serialization to REQBUFS, and also take the same mutex in media_request_ioctl_reinit() so REINIT is in the same exclusion domain. This keeps request cleanup and queue cancellation from running in parallel for request-capabl
