    net: cdc_ncm: Deal with too low values of dwNtbOutMaxSize

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: cdc_ncm: Deal with too low values of dwNtbOutMaxSize Currently in cdc_ncm_check_tx_max(), if dwNtbOutMaxSize is lower than the calculated "min" value, but greater than zero, the logic sets tx_max to dwNtbOutMaxSize. This is then used to allocate a new SKB in cdc_ncm_fill_tx_frame() where all the data is handled. For small values of dwNtbOutMaxSize the memory allocated during alloc_skb(dwNtbOutMaxSize, GFP_ATOMIC) will have the same size, due to how size is aligned at alloc time: size = SKB_DATA_ALIGN(size); size += SKB_DATA_ALIGN(sizeof(struct skb_shared_info

    bnxt: avoid overflow in bnxt_get_nvram_directory()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt: avoid overflow in bnxt_get_nvram_directory() The value of an arithmetic expression is subject of possible overflow due to a failure to cast operands to a larger data type before performing arithmetic. Used macro for multiplication instead operator for avoiding overflow. Found by Security Code and Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

    spi: bcm-qspi: return error if neither hif_mspi nor mspi is available

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: bcm-qspi: return error if neither hif_mspi nor mspi is available If neither a "hif_mspi" nor "mspi" resource is present, the driver will just early exit in probe but still return success. Apart from not doing anything meaningful, this would then also lead to a null pointer access on removal, as platform_get_drvdata() would return NULL, which it would then try to dereference when trying to unregister the spi master. Fix this by unconditionally calling devm_ioremap_resource(), as it can handle a NULL res and will then return a viable ERR_PTR() if we get one. The "retur

    wifi: brcmfmac: Fix potential shift-out-of-bounds in brcmf_fw_alloc_request()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: Fix potential shift-out-of-bounds in brcmf_fw_alloc_request() This patch fixes a shift-out-of-bounds in brcmfmac that occurs in BIT(chiprev) when a 'chiprev' provided by the device is too large. It should also not be equal to or greater than BITS_PER_TYPE(u32) as we do bitwise AND with a u32 variable and BIT(chiprev). The patch adds a check that makes the function return NULL if that is the case. Note that the NULL case is later handled by the bus-specific caller, brcmf_usb_probe_cb() or brcmf_usb_reset_resume(), for example. Found by a modified version of

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: solo6x10: fix possible memory leak in solo_sysfs_init() If device_register() returns error in solo_sysfs_init(), the name allocated by dev_set_name() need be freed. As comment of device_register() says, it should use put_device() to give up the reference in the error path. So fix this by calling put_device(), then the name can be freed in kobject_cleanup().

    usb: host: xhci: Fix potential memory leak in xhci_alloc_stream_info()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: host: xhci: Fix potential memory leak in xhci_alloc_stream_info() xhci_alloc_stream_info() allocates stream context array for stream_info ->stream_ctx_array with xhci_alloc_stream_ctx(). When some error occurs, stream_info->stream_ctx_array is not released, which will lead to a memory leak. We can fix it by releasing the stream_info->stream_ctx_array with xhci_free_stream_ctx() on the error path to avoid the potential memory leak.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: si470x: Fix use-after-free in si470x_int_in_callback() syzbot reported use-after-free in si470x_int_in_callback() [1]. This indicates that urb->context, which contains struct si470x_device object, is freed when si470x_int_in_callback() is called. The cause of this issue is that si470x_int_in_callback() is called for freed urb. si470x_usb_driver_probe() calls si470x_start_usb(), which then calls usb_submit_urb() and si470x_start(). If si470x_start_usb() fails, si470x_usb_driver_probe() doesn't kill urb, but it just frees struct si470x_device object, as depicted be

    Drivers: hv: vmbus: Don't dereference ACPI root object handle

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Drivers: hv: vmbus: Don't dereference ACPI root object handle Since the commit referenced in the Fixes: tag below the VMBus client driver is walking the ACPI namespace up from the VMBus ACPI device to the ACPI namespace root object trying to find Hyper-V MMIO ranges. However, if it is not able to find them it ends trying to walk resources of the ACPI namespace root object itself. This object has all-ones handle, which causes a NULL pointer dereference in the ACPI code (from dereferencing this pointer with an offset). This in turn causes an oops on boot with VMBus host imp

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: fix memory leak of remain_skbs hif_dev->remain_skb is allocated and used exclusively in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream(). It is implied that an allocated remain_skb is processed and subsequently freed (in error paths) only during the next call of ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream(). So, if the urbs are deallocated between those two calls due to the device deinitialization or suspend, it is possible that ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() is not called next time and the allocated remain_skb is leaked. Our local Syzkaller instance was able to trigger that. remain_skb makes sens
