Adminer before 6.1.1 RCE via UTF-8 BOM SQLite ATTACH Bypass

Adminer before 6.1.1 contains a remote code execution vulnerability that allows authenticated SQLite users to bypass ATTACH and VACUUM INTO restrictions by prefixing statements with a UTF-8 byte-order mark. Attackers can attach a database file at a PHP-served path and create a table named with PHP code to execute it as the web server user.

Adminer before 6.0.2 Privileged-Port SSRF via host_port Regex

Adminer 5.5.1 through 6.0.1 improperly parses the login 'server' string in the host_port() function in adminer/include/functions.inc.php. The port capture group requires pure digits anchored to the end of the string, so any server value with a non-digit tail fails the regex and falls back to returning the whole string as the host with an empty port. Because the privileged-port restriction in adminer/include/auth.inc.php inspects only the parsed port, the check is skipped, and the mysqli/mysqlnd client subsequently re-parses host:port from the host string and opens a TCP connection. A remote, unauthenticated attacker who can reach the Adminer

Adminer 6.0.0 Server-Side Request Forgery via ClickHouse driver

Adminer 6.0.0 through 6.0.1, when the official ClickHouse driver plugin (plugins/drivers/clickhouse.php, rewritten in 6.0.0) is loaded, is vulnerable to pre-authentication server-side request forgery. An unauthenticated attacker can submit auth[driver]=clickhouse with auth[server] set to an arbitrary URL (for example http://127.0.0.1:18089), causing the Adminer server to issue an HTTP POST containing 'SELECT version()' to that host. In rootQuery(), if the target returns a status outside 200-299 (other than 401/403), the raw HTTP response body is assigned to the connection error and rendered on the login page, so the attacker receives the full

Adminer before 6.0.2 Unauthenticated SSRF via Elasticsearch Driver

Adminer 4.16.0 through 6.0.1 contain a pre-authentication Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the optional Elasticsearch driver (plugins/drivers/elastic.php), fixed in 6.0.2. Because adminer/include/auth.inc.php invokes Driver::connect() before the login result is validated, an unauthenticated attacker who submits crafted auth[server], auth[username], and auth[password] parameters can cause the Adminer server to issue an HTTP GET request (via get_url()/file_get_contents()) to an arbitrary reachable host and port. The driver validates only general server syntax and does not block loopback, private, link-local, or other reserved

Adminer before 6.0.2 XSS via CONNECTION_ID escalating to RCE

Adminer before 6.0.2 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability where the CONNECTION_ID() database result is interpolated into JavaScript without proper escaping, allowing a malicious database server to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the authenticated Adminer origin. In co-located deployments where the database has FILE privileges and can write to the webroot, attackers can use the XSS to submit authenticated SQL requests that write PHP files via INTO DUMPFILE, achieving remote code execution as the web server account.

Adminer before 5.4.3 CSRF Token Secret Recovery via XOR Masking

Adminer before 5.4.3 uses a CSRF token scheme that transmits both the XOR mask and the masked value in every token (format (rand XOR secret):rand), allowing anyone who observes a single CSRF token (e.g., via network sniffing, log files, Referrer header, or XSS) to recover the session secret with a single XOR operation and forge unlimited valid tokens. The implementation is further weakened by a low-entropy session token (rand(1,1e6), ~20 bits) that permits blind brute-force, and by use of loose comparison (==) in token verification, enabling PHP type juggling. Exploitation enables cross-site request forgery against authenticated sessions, inc

Adminer before 5.4.3 Remote Code Execution via MSSQL PDO DSN Injection

Adminer before 5.4.3 fails to sanitize the server field before constructing a PDO DSN string, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject ODBC parameters via semicolons. Attackers can inject TraceFile and TraceOn parameters to write PHP code to the web root, achieving remote code execution when the trace file is accessed.

Adminer before 5.4.3 Cross-Site Scripting via MySQL Version String

Adminer before 5.4.3 inserts unsanitized database server version strings into script tags with valid CSP nonces without proper validation. Attackers controlling a rogue MySQL server can return crafted version strings that break out of the JavaScript context and execute arbitrary code, bypassing Content Security Policy protections.

Adminer before 5.5.0 SSRF via PDO DSN Injection

Adminer before 5.5.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the login form's server field validator, which only inspects leading integers for privileged ports and fails to reject non-numeric port values. Attackers can inject PDO DSN keys like host= and port= into the server parameter to bypass the privileged-port restriction and establish TCP connections to arbitrary internal hosts and ports before authentication.

  14. CVE-2026-34959

    Medium · CVSS 5.3EPSS 0.29%Fix available

Adminer before 5.5.0 Open Redirect via X-Forwarded-Prefix

Adminer 4.6.0 before 5.5.0 prepends the client-supplied X-Forwarded-Prefix header to $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"] with no trusted-proxy check and no validation of the prefix value. An attacker can supply an absolute URL (e.g. X-Forwarded-Prefix: https://evil.example) that flows into Location redirect headers, the Set-Cookie path attribute, and self-referential links. This enables an authenticated open redirect after state-changing POSTs, unauthenticated control of the session cookie path attribute, and poisoning of self-referential links; CR/LF cannot be injected, so header splitting/XSS is not possible.

    Low · CVSS 2.3EPSS 0.39%Fix available

Adminer before 5.5.1 X-Forwarded-Prefix Backslash Bypass

Adminer 4.6.0 through 5.5.0 (fixed in 5.5.1) contains an incomplete fix for a prior X-Forwarded-Prefix vulnerability (GHSA-8478-xrj3-h9c2). The validation guard (bootstrap.inc.php) only rejects prefixes matching ^/[^/], blocking //evil.com but allowing values such as /\evil.com whose second character is a backslash. Because browsers normalize backslash to forward slash, a network-path reference survives into REQUEST_URI and reaches cookie_path(), affecting the Set-Cookie Path attribute. Exploitation requires that clients can set the X-Forwarded-Prefix header (a misconfigured or absent reverse proxy). Impact is limited to anomalous cookie-path

Adminer < 5.4.3 Cookie Injection via X-Forwarded-Prefix Header

Adminer before 5.4.3 contains a cookie injection vulnerability that allows attackers to manipulate cookie attributes by injecting arbitrary values through the unsanitized X-Forwarded-Prefix HTTP header used in Set-Cookie path attributes. Attackers can exploit a misconfigured reverse proxy to downgrade SameSite protection and enable cross-origin authenticated requests, bypassing cookie security controls.

    High · CVSS 8.6EPSS 0.73%No fix published

    CVE-2025-43960

Adminer 4.8.1, when using Monolog for logging, allows a Denial of Service (memory consumption) via a crafted serialized payload (e.g., using s:1000000000), leading to a PHP Object Injection issue. Remote, unauthenticated attackers can trigger this by sending a malicious serialized object, which forces excessive memory usage, rendering Adminer’s interface unresponsive and causing a server-level DoS. While the server may recover after several minutes, multiple simultaneous requests can cause a complete crash requiring manual intervention.
