net_sched: keep alloc_hash updated after hash allocation

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: keep alloc_hash updated after hash allocation In commit 599be01ee567 ("net_sched: fix an OOB access in cls_tcindex") I moved cp->hash calculation before the first tcindex_alloc_perfect_hash(), but cp->alloc_hash is left untouched. This difference could lead to another out of bound access. cp->alloc_hash should always be the size allocated, we should update it after this tcindex_alloc_perfect_hash().

can: dev: can_restart: fix use after free bug

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: dev: can_restart: fix use after free bug After calling netif_rx_ni(skb), dereferencing skb is unsafe. Especially, the can_frame cf which aliases skb memory is accessed after the netif_rx_ni() in: stats->rx_bytes += cf->len; Reordering the lines solves the issue.

can: dev: can_get_echo_skb(): prevent call to kfree_skb() in hard IRQ context

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: dev: can_get_echo_skb(): prevent call to kfree_skb() in hard IRQ context If a driver calls can_get_echo_skb() during a hardware IRQ (which is often, but not always, the case), the 'WARN_ON(in_irq)' in net/core/skbuff.c#skb_release_head_state() might be triggered, under network congestion circumstances, together with the potential risk of a NULL pointer dereference. The root cause of this issue is the call to kfree_skb() instead of dev_kfree_skb_irq() in net/core/dev.c#enqueue_to_backlog(). This patch prevents the skb to be freed within the call to netif_rx() by incre

    netlabel: fix out-of-bounds memory accesses

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netlabel: fix out-of-bounds memory accesses There are two array out-of-bounds memory accesses, one in cipso_v4_map_lvl_valid(), the other in netlbl_bitmap_walk(). Both errors are embarassingly simple, and the fixes are straightforward. As a FYI for anyone backporting this patch to kernels prior to v4.8, you'll want to apply the netlbl_bitmap_walk() patch to cipso_v4_bitmap_walk() as netlbl_bitmap_walk() doesn't exist before Linux v4.8.

Kernel: netlink socket crash (null pointer deref) in netlink_dump function

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was found in netlink_dump. This issue can occur when the Netlink socket receives the message(sendmsg) for the XFRM_MSG_GETSA, XFRM_MSG_GETPOLICY type message, and the DUMP flag is set and can cause a denial of service or possibly another unspecified impact. Due to the nature of the flaw, privilege escalation cannot be fully ruled out, although it is unlikely.

  6. CVE-2020-27784

    Medium · CVSS 5.5EPSS 0.23%Fix available

    CVE-2020-27784

A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel, where accessing a deallocated instance in printer_ioctl() printer_ioctl() tries to access of a printer_dev instance. However, use-after-free arises because it had been freed by gprinter_free().

  7. CVE-2021-3715

    High · CVSS 7.8EPSS 0.35%Fix available

    CVE-2021-3715

A flaw was found in the "Routing decision" classifier in the Linux kernel's Traffic Control networking subsystem in the way it handled changing of classification filters, leading to a use-after-free condition. This flaw allows unprivileged local users to escalate their privileges on the system. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
