ipv4: route: Prevent rt_bind_exception() from rebinding stale fnhe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: route: Prevent rt_bind_exception() from rebinding stale fnhe The sit driver's packet transmission path calls: sit_tunnel_xmit() -> update_or_create_fnhe(), which lead to fnhe_remove_oldest() being called to delete entries exceeding FNHE_RECLAIM_DEPTH+random. The race window is between fnhe_remove_oldest() selecting fnheX for deletion and the subsequent kfree_rcu(). During this time, the concurrent path's __mkroute_output() -> find_exception() can fetch the soon-to-be-deleted fnheX, and rt_bind_exception() then binds it with a new dst using a dst_hold(). When the orig

binfmt_misc: restore write access before closing files opened by open_exec()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: binfmt_misc: restore write access before closing files opened by open_exec() bm_register_write() opens an executable file using open_exec(), which internally calls do_open_execat() and denies write access on the file to avoid modification while it is being executed. However, when an error occurs, bm_register_write() closes the file using filp_close() directly. This does not restore the write permission, which may cause subsequent write operations on the same file to fail. Fix this by calling exe_file_allow_write_access() before filp_close() to restore the write permission

    drm/radeon: delete radeon_fence_process in is_signaled, no deadlock

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/radeon: delete radeon_fence_process in is_signaled, no deadlock Delete the attempt to progress the queue when checking if fence is signaled. This avoids deadlock. dma-fence_ops::signaled can be called with the fence lock in unknown state. For radeon, the fence lock is also the wait queue lock. This can cause a self deadlock when signaled() tries to make forward progress on the wait queue. But advancing the queue is unneeded because incorrectly returning false from signaled() is perfectly acceptable. (cherry picked from commit 527ba26e50ec2ca2be9c7c82f3ad42998a75d0db)

net: ethernet: ti: netcp: Standardize knav_dma_open_channel to return NULL on error

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: ti: netcp: Standardize knav_dma_open_channel to return NULL on error Make knav_dma_open_channel consistently return NULL on error instead of ERR_PTR. Currently the header include/linux/soc/ti/knav_dma.h returns NULL when the driver is disabled, but the driver implementation does not even return NULL or ERR_PTR on failure, causing inconsistency in the users. This results in a crash in netcp_free_navigator_resources as followed (trimmed): Unhandled fault: alignment exception (0x221) at 0xfffffff2 [fffffff2] *pgd=80000800207003, *pmd=82ffda003, *pte=00000000 In

    Input: pegasus-notetaker - fix potential out-of-bounds access

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: pegasus-notetaker - fix potential out-of-bounds access In the pegasus_notetaker driver, the pegasus_probe() function allocates the URB transfer buffer using the wMaxPacketSize value from the endpoint descriptor. An attacker can use a malicious USB descriptor to force the allocation of a very small buffer. Subsequently, if the device sends an interrupt packet with a specific pattern (e.g., where the first byte is 0x80 or 0x42), the pegasus_parse_packet() function parses the packet without checking the allocated buffer size. This leads to an out-of-bounds memory acces

ksm: use range-walk function to jump over holes in scan_get_next_rmap_item

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksm: use range-walk function to jump over holes in scan_get_next_rmap_item Currently, scan_get_next_rmap_item() walks every page address in a VMA to locate mergeable pages. This becomes highly inefficient when scanning large virtual memory areas that contain mostly unmapped regions, causing ksmd to use large amount of cpu without deduplicating much pages. This patch replaces the per-address lookup with a range walk using walk_page_range(). The range walker allows KSM to skip over entire unmapped holes in a VMA, avoiding unnecessary lookups. This problem was previously d

netfilter: nft_ct: add seqadj extension for natted connections

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_ct: add seqadj extension for natted connections Sequence adjustment may be required for FTP traffic with PASV/EPSV modes. due to need to re-write packet payload (IP, port) on the ftp control connection. This can require changes to the TCP length and expected seq / ack_seq. The easiest way to reproduce this issue is with PASV mode. Example ruleset: table inet ftp_nat { ct helper ftp_helper { type "ftp" protocol tcp l3proto inet } chain prerouting { type filter hook prerouting priority 0;

media: imon: make send_packet() more robust

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: imon: make send_packet() more robust syzbot is reporting that imon has three problems which result in hung tasks due to forever holding device lock [1]. First problem is that when usb_rx_callback_intf0() once got -EPROTO error after ictx->dev_present_intf0 became true, usb_rx_callback_intf0() resubmits urb after printk(), and resubmitted urb causes usb_rx_callback_intf0() to again get -EPROTO error. This results in printk() flooding (RCU stalls). Alan Stern commented [2] that In theory it's okay to resubmit _if_ the driver has a robust error-recovery scheme (s

net: usb: qmi_wwan: initialize MAC header offset in qmimux_rx_fixup

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: qmi_wwan: initialize MAC header offset in qmimux_rx_fixup Raw IP packets have no MAC header, leaving skb->mac_header uninitialized. This can trigger kernel panics on ARM64 when xfrm or other subsystems access the offset due to strict alignment checks. Initialize the MAC header to prevent such crashes. This can trigger kernel panics on ARM when running IPsec over the qmimux0 interface. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/atom: Check kcalloc() for WS buffer in amdgpu_atom_execute_table_locked() kcalloc() may fail. When WS is non-zero and allocation fails, ectx.ws remains NULL while ectx.ws_size is set, leading to a potential NULL pointer dereference in atom_get_src_int() when accessing WS entries. Return -ENOMEM on allocation failure to avoid the NULL dereference.

nfs4_setup_readdir(): insufficient locking for ->d_parent->d_inode dereferencing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfs4_setup_readdir(): insufficient locking for ->d_parent->d_inode dereferencing Theoretically it's an oopsable race, but I don't believe one can manage to hit it on real hardware; might become doable on a KVM, but it still won't be easy to attack. Anyway, it's easy to deal with - since xdr_encode_hyper() is just a call of put_unaligned_be64(), we can put that under ->d_lock and be done with that.

cpufreq/longhaul: handle NULL policy in longhaul_exit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq/longhaul: handle NULL policy in longhaul_exit longhaul_exit() was calling cpufreq_cpu_get(0) without checking for a NULL policy pointer. On some systems, this could lead to a NULL dereference and a kernel warning or panic. This patch adds a check using unlikely() and returns early if the policy is NULL. Bugzilla: #219962

    ftrace: Fix softlockup in ftrace_module_enable

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Fix softlockup in ftrace_module_enable A soft lockup was observed when loading amdgpu module. If a module has a lot of tracable functions, multiple calls to kallsyms_lookup can spend too much time in RCU critical section and with disabled preemption, causing kernel panic. This is the same issue that was fixed in commit d0b24b4e91fc ("ftrace: Prevent RCU stall on PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY kernels") and commit 42ea22e754ba ("ftrace: Add cond_resched() to ftrace_graph_set_hash()"). Fix it the same way by adding cond_resched() in ftrace_module_enable.
