nbd: restrict sockets to TCP and UDP

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nbd: restrict sockets to TCP and UDP Recently, syzbot started to abuse NBD with all kinds of sockets. Commit cf1b2326b734 ("nbd: verify socket is supported during setup") made sure the socket supported a shutdown() method. Explicitely accept TCP and UNIX stream sockets.

bpf: Explicitly check accesses to bpf_sock_addr

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Explicitly check accesses to bpf_sock_addr Syzkaller found a kernel warning on the following sock_addr program: 0: r0 = 0 1: r2 = *(u32 *)(r1 +60) 2: exit which triggers: verifier bug: error during ctx access conversion (0) This is happening because offset 60 in bpf_sock_addr corresponds to an implicit padding of 4 bytes, right after msg_src_ip4. Access to this padding isn't rejected in sock_addr_is_valid_access and it thus later fails to convert the access. This patch fixes it by explicitly checking the various fields of bpf_sock_addr in sock_addr

pps: fix warning in pps_register_cdev when register device fail

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pps: fix warning in pps_register_cdev when register device fail Similar to previous commit 2a934fdb01db ("media: v4l2-dev: fix error handling in __video_register_device()"), the release hook should be set before device_register(). Otherwise, when device_register() return error and put_device() try to callback the release function, the below warning may happen. ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 4760 at drivers/base/core.c:2567 device_release+0x1bd/0x240 drivers/base/core.c:2567 Modules linked in: CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 4760 Comm: syz.4.914 Not ta

    smc: Fix use-after-free in __pnet_find_base_ndev().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smc: Fix use-after-free in __pnet_find_base_ndev(). syzbot reported use-after-free of net_device in __pnet_find_base_ndev(), which was called during connect(). [0] smc_pnet_find_ism_resource() fetches sk_dst_get(sk)->dev and passes down to pnet_find_base_ndev(), where RTNL is held. Then, UAF happened at __pnet_find_base_ndev() when the dev is first used. This means dev had already been freed before acquiring RTNL in pnet_find_base_ndev(). While dev is going away, dst->dev could be swapped with blackhole_netdev, and the dev's refcnt by dst will be released. We must hold

net: dlink: handle copy_thresh allocation failure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dlink: handle copy_thresh allocation failure The driver did not handle failure of `netdev_alloc_skb_ip_align()`. If the allocation failed, dereferencing `skb->protocol` could lead to a NULL pointer dereference. This patch tries to allocate `skb`. If the allocation fails, it falls back to the normal path. Squashfs: fix uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Squashfs: fix uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent Syzkaller reports a "KMSAN: uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent" bug. This is caused by open_by_handle_at() being called with a file handle containing an invalid parent inode number. In particular the inode number is that of a symbolic link, rather than a directory. Squashfs_get_parent() gets called with that symbolic link inode, and accesses the parent member field. unsigned int parent_ino = squashfs_i(inode)->parent; Because non-directory inodes in Squashfs do not have a parent value, this is uninitialised, and this

uio_hv_generic: Let userspace take care of interrupt mask

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: uio_hv_generic: Let userspace take care of interrupt mask Remove the logic to set interrupt mask by default in uio_hv_generic driver as the interrupt mask value is supposed to be controlled completely by the user space. If the mask bit gets changed by the driver, concurrently with user mode operating on the ring, the mask bit may be set when it is supposed to be clear, and the user-mode driver will miss an interrupt which will cause a hang. For eg- when the driver sets inbound ring buffer interrupt mask to 1, the host does not interrupt the guest on the UIO VMBus channel.

fs: udf: fix OOB read in lengthAllocDescs handling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: udf: fix OOB read in lengthAllocDescs handling When parsing Allocation Extent Descriptor, lengthAllocDescs comes from on-disk data and must be validated against the block size. Crafted or corrupted images may set lengthAllocDescs so that the total descriptor length (sizeof(allocExtDesc) + lengthAllocDescs) exceeds the buffer, leading udf_update_tag() to call crc_itu_t() on out-of-bounds memory and trigger a KASAN use-after-free read. net: nfc: nci: Add parameter validation for packet data

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: nci: Add parameter validation for packet data Syzbot reported an uninitialized value bug in nci_init_req, which was introduced by commit 5aca7966d2a7 ("Merge tag 'perf-tools-fixes-for-v6.17-2025-09-16' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/perf/perf-tools"). This bug arises due to very limited and poor input validation that was done at nic_valid_size(). This validation only validates the skb->len (directly reflects size provided at the userspace interface) with the length provided in the buffer itself (interpreted as NCI_HEADER). This leads to the proc

misc: fastrpc: fix possible map leak in fastrpc_put_args

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: fastrpc: fix possible map leak in fastrpc_put_args copy_to_user() failure would cause an early return without cleaning up the fdlist, which has been updated by the DSP. This could lead to map leak. Fix this by redirecting to a cleanup path on failure, ensuring that all mapped buffers are properly released before returning.

Input: uinput - zero-initialize uinput_ff_upload_compat to avoid info leak

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: uinput - zero-initialize uinput_ff_upload_compat to avoid info leak Struct ff_effect_compat is embedded twice inside uinput_ff_upload_compat, contains internal padding. In particular, there is a hole after struct ff_replay to satisfy alignment requirements for the following union member. Without clearing the structure, copy_to_user() may leak stack data to userspace. Initialize ff_up_compat to zero before filling valid fields.

pinctrl: check the return value of pinmux_ops::get_function_name()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: check the return value of pinmux_ops::get_function_name() While the API contract in docs doesn't specify it explicitly, the generic implementation of the get_function_name() callback from struct pinmux_ops - pinmux_generic_get_function_name() - can fail and return NULL. This is already checked in pinmux_check_ops() so add a similar check in pinmux_func_name_to_selector() instead of passing the returned pointer right down to strcmp() where the NULL can get dereferenced. This is normal operation when adding new pinfunctions.

    KVM: x86: Don't (re)check L1 intercepts when completing userspace I/O

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Don't (re)check L1 intercepts when completing userspace I/O When completing emulation of instruction that generated a userspace exit for I/O, don't recheck L1 intercepts as KVM has already finished that phase of instruction execution, i.e. has already committed to allowing L2 to perform I/O. If L1 (or host userspace) modifies the I/O permission bitmaps during the exit to userspace, KVM will treat the access as being intercepted despite already having emulated the I/O access.
