tracing: dynevent: Add a missing lockdown check on dynevent

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: dynevent: Add a missing lockdown check on dynevent Since dynamic_events interface on tracefs is compatible with kprobe_events and uprobe_events, it should also check the lockdown status and reject if it is set.

ipvs: Defer ip_vs_ftp unregister during netns cleanup

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: Defer ip_vs_ftp unregister during netns cleanup On the netns cleanup path, __ip_vs_ftp_exit() may unregister ip_vs_ftp before connections with valid cp->app pointers are flushed, leading to a use-after-free. Fix this by introducing a global `exiting_module` flag, set to true in ip_vs_ftp_exit() before unregistering the pernet subsystem. In __ip_vs_ftp_exit(), skip ip_vs_ftp unregister if called during netns cleanup (when exiting_module is false) and defer it to __ip_vs_cleanup_batch(), which unregisters all apps after all connections are flushed. If called during mod

ring-buffer: Do not swap cpu_buffer during resize process

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ring-buffer: Do not swap cpu_buffer during resize process When ring_buffer_swap_cpu was called during resize process, the cpu buffer was swapped in the middle, resulting in incorrect state. Continuing to run in the wrong state will result in oops. This issue can be easily reproduced using the following two scripts: /tmp # cat test1.sh //#! /bin/sh for i in `seq 0 100000` do echo 2000 > /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/buffer_size_kb sleep 0.5 echo 5000 > /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/buffer_size_kb sleep 0.5 done /tmp # cat test2.sh //#! /bin/sh fo

riscv: move memblock_allow_resize() after linear mapping is ready

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv: move memblock_allow_resize() after linear mapping is ready The initial memblock metadata is accessed from kernel image mapping. The regions arrays need to "reallocated" from memblock and accessed through linear mapping to cover more memblock regions. So the resizing should not be allowed until linear mapping is ready. Note that there are memblock allocations when building linear mapping. This patch is similar to 24cc61d8cb5a ("arm64: memblock: don't permit memblock resizing until linear mapping is up"). In following log, many memblock regions are reserved before cr

tpm: acpi: Call acpi_put_table() to fix memory leak

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: acpi: Call acpi_put_table() to fix memory leak The start and length of the event log area are obtained from TPM2 or TCPA table, so we call acpi_get_table() to get the ACPI information, but the acpi_get_table() should be coupled with acpi_put_table() to release the ACPI memory, add the acpi_put_table() properly to fix the memory leak. While we are at it, remove the redundant empty line at the end of the tpm_read_log_acpi().

drm/meson: explicitly remove aggregate driver at module unload time

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/meson: explicitly remove aggregate driver at module unload time Because component_master_del wasn't being called when unloading the meson_drm module, the aggregate device would linger forever in the global aggregate_devices list. That means when unloading and reloading the meson_dw_hdmi module, component_add would call into try_to_bring_up_aggregate_device and find the unbound meson_drm aggregate device. This would in turn dereference some of the aggregate_device's struct entries which point to memory automatically freed by the devres API when unbinding the aggregate d

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm: Fix potential null-ptr-deref due to drmm_mode_config_init() drmm_mode_config_init() will call drm_mode_create_standard_properties() and won't check the ret value. When drm_mode_create_standard_properties() failed due to alloc, property will be a NULL pointer and may causes the null-ptr-deref. Fix the null-ptr-deref by adding the ret value check. mm/hugetlb: fix folio is still mapped when deleted

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/hugetlb: fix folio is still mapped when deleted Migration may be raced with fallocating hole. remove_inode_single_folio will unmap the folio if the folio is still mapped. However, it's called without folio lock. If the folio is migrated and the mapped pte has been converted to migration entry, folio_mapped() returns false, and won't unmap it. Due to extra refcount held by remove_inode_single_folio, migration fails, restores migration entry to normal pte, and the folio is mapped again. As a result, we triggered BUG in filemap_unaccount_folio. The log is as follows:

net: mscc: ocelot: Fix use-after-free caused by cyclic delayed work

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mscc: ocelot: Fix use-after-free caused by cyclic delayed work The origin code calls cancel_delayed_work() in ocelot_stats_deinit() to cancel the cyclic delayed work item ocelot->stats_work. However, cancel_delayed_work() may fail to cancel the work item if it is already executing. While destroy_workqueue() does wait for all pending work items in the work queue to complete before destroying the work queue, it cannot prevent the delayed work item from being rescheduled within the ocelot_check_stats_work() function. This limitation exists because the delayed work item is

scsi: mvsas: Fix use-after-free bugs in mvs_work_queue

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mvsas: Fix use-after-free bugs in mvs_work_queue During the detaching of Marvell's SAS/SATA controller, the original code calls cancel_delayed_work() in mvs_free() to cancel the delayed work item mwq->work_q. However, if mwq->work_q is already running, the cancel_delayed_work() may fail to cancel it. This can lead to use-after-free scenarios where mvs_free() frees the mvs_info while mvs_work_queue() is still executing and attempts to access the already-freed mvs_info. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work call

scsi: target: target_core_configfs: Add length check to avoid buffer overflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: target_core_configfs: Add length check to avoid buffer overflow A buffer overflow arises from the usage of snprintf to write into the buffer "buf" in target_lu_gp_members_show function located in /drivers/target/target_core_configfs.c. This buffer is allocated with size LU_GROUP_NAME_BUF (256 bytes). snprintf(...) formats multiple strings into buf with the HBA name (hba->hba_group.cg_item), a slash character, a devicename (dev-> dev_group.cg_item) and a newline character, the total formatted string length may exceed the buffer size of 256 bytes. media: b2c2: Fix use-after-free causing by irq_check_work in flexcop_pci_remove

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: b2c2: Fix use-after-free causing by irq_check_work in flexcop_pci_remove The original code uses cancel_delayed_work() in flexcop_pci_remove(), which does not guarantee that the delayed work item irq_check_work has fully completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios where flexcop_pci_remove() may free the flexcop_device while irq_check_work is still active and attempts to dereference the device. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback) flexcop_pci_remove()
