In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: i2c: tc358743: Fix use-after-free bugs caused by orphan timer in probe The state->timer is a cyclic timer that schedules work_i2c_poll and delayed_work_enable_hotplug, while rearming itself. Using timer_delete() fails to guarantee the timer isn't still running when destroyed, similarly cancel_delayed_work() cannot ensure delayed_work_enable_hotplug has terminated if already executing. During probe failure after timer initialization, these may continue running as orphans and reference the already-freed tc358743_state object through tc358743_irq_poll_timer. The follow

i40e: add validation for ring_len param

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i40e: add validation for ring_len param The `ring_len` parameter provided by the virtual function (VF) is assigned directly to the hardware memory context (HMC) without any validation. To address this, introduce an upper boundary check for both Tx and Rx queue lengths. The maximum number of descriptors supported by the hardware is 8k-32. Additionally, enforce alignment constraints: Tx rings must be a multiple of 8, and Rx rings must be a multiple of 32.

Use I40E_VF_STATE_RESOURCES_LOADED that is set only in i40e_vc_get_vf_resources_msg() and cleared during reset.

Furthermore, concurrent writes may create inconsistencies in the internal socket state. Disallow this by adding a new ctx->write field that indiciates exclusive ownership for writing.

NFSD: Avoid calling OPDESC() with ops->opnum == OP_ILLEGAL

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Avoid calling OPDESC() with ops->opnum == OP_ILLEGAL OPDESC() simply indexes into nfsd4_ops[] by the op's operation number, without range checking that value. It assumes callers are careful to avoid calling it with an out-of-bounds opnum value. nfsd4_decode_compound() is not so careful, and can invoke OPDESC() with opnum set to OP_ILLEGAL, which is 10044 -- well beyond the end of nfsd4_ops[].
