ext4: don't cache extent during splitting extent

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: don't cache extent during splitting extent Caching extents during the splitting process is risky, as it may result in stale extents remaining in the status tree. Moreover, in most cases, the corresponding extent block entries are likely already cached before the split happens, making caching here not particularly useful. Assume we have an unwritten extent, and then DIO writes the first half. [UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU] on-disk extent U: unwritten extent [UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU] extent status tree |<- ->| ----> dio write this range First, when ext4_split_extent_at()

xfrm: fix ip_rt_bug race in icmp_route_lookup reverse path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: fix ip_rt_bug race in icmp_route_lookup reverse path icmp_route_lookup() performs multiple route lookups to find a suitable route for sending ICMP error messages, with special handling for XFRM (IPsec) policies. The lookup sequence is: 1. First, lookup output route for ICMP reply (dst = original src) 2. Pass through xfrm_lookup() for policy check 3. If blocked (-EPERM) or dst is not local, enter "reverse path" 4. In reverse path, call xfrm_decode_session_reverse() to get fl4_dec which reverses the original packet's flow (saddr<->daddr swapped) 5. If fl4_dec.saddr

ext4: drop extent cache when splitting extent fails

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: drop extent cache when splitting extent fails When the split extent fails, we might leave some extents still being processed and return an error directly, which will result in stale extent entries remaining in the extent status tree. So drop all of the remaining potentially stale extents if the splitting fails.

xen-netback: reject zero-queue configuration from guest

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen-netback: reject zero-queue configuration from guest A malicious or buggy Xen guest can write "0" to the xenbus key "multi-queue-num-queues". The connect() function in the backend only validates the upper bound (requested_num_queues > xenvif_max_queues) but not zero, allowing requested_num_queues=0 to reach vzalloc(array_size(0, sizeof(struct xenvif_queue))), which triggers WARN_ON_ONCE(!size) in __vmalloc_node_range(). On systems with panic_on_warn=1, this allows a guest-to-host denial of service. The Xen network interface specification requires the queue count to be

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mfd: arizona: Fix regulator resource leak on wm5102_clear_write_sequencer() failure The wm5102_clear_write_sequencer() helper may return an error and just return, bypassing the cleanup sequence and causing regulators to remain enabled, leading to a resource leak. Change the direct return to jump to the err_reset label to properly free the resources.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: st33zp24: Fix missing cleanup on get_burstcount() error get_burstcount() can return -EBUSY on timeout. When this happens, st33zp24_send() returns directly without releasing the locality acquired earlier. Use goto out_err to ensure proper cleanup when get_burstcount() fails.

SUNRPC: auth_gss: fix memory leaks in XDR decoding error paths

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: auth_gss: fix memory leaks in XDR decoding error paths The gssx_dec_ctx(), gssx_dec_status(), and gssx_dec_name() functions allocate memory via gssx_dec_buffer(), which calls kmemdup(). When a subsequent decode operation fails, these functions return immediately without freeing previously allocated buffers, causing memory leaks. The leak in gssx_dec_ctx() is particularly relevant because the caller (gssp_accept_sec_context_upcall) initializes several buffer length fields to non-zero values, resulting in memory allocation: struct gssx_ctx rctxh = { .exp

power: supply: wm97xx: Fix NULL pointer dereference in power_supply_changed()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: wm97xx: Fix NULL pointer dereference in power_supply_changed() In `probe()`, `request_irq()` is called before allocating/registering a `power_supply` handle. If an interrupt is fired between the call to `request_irq()` and `power_supply_register()`, the `power_supply` handle will be used uninitialized in `power_supply_changed()` in `wm97xx_bat_update()` (triggered from the interrupt handler). This will lead to a `NULL` pointer dereference since Fix this racy `NULL` pointer dereference by making sure the IRQ is requested _after_ the registration of the `power

pinctrl: single: fix refcount leak in pcs_add_gpio_func()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: single: fix refcount leak in pcs_add_gpio_func() of_parse_phandle_with_args() returns a device_node pointer with refcount incremented in gpiospec.np. The loop iterates through all phandles but never releases the reference, causing a refcount leak on each iteration. Add of_node_put() calls to release the reference after extracting the needed arguments and on the error path when devm_kzalloc() fails. This bug was detected by our static analysis tool and verified by my code review.

netfilter: arp_tables: fix IEEE1394 ARP payload parsing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: arp_tables: fix IEEE1394 ARP payload parsing Weiming Shi says: "arp_packet_match() unconditionally parses the ARP payload assuming two hardware addresses are present (source and target). However, IPv4-over-IEEE1394 ARP (RFC 2734) omits the target hardware address field, and arp_hdr_len() already accounts for this by returning a shorter length for ARPHRD_IEEE1394 devices. As a result, on IEEE1394 interfaces arp_packet_match() advances past a nonexistent target hardware address and reads the wrong bytes for both the target device address comparison and the target

slip: bound decode() reads against the compressed packet length

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: slip: bound decode() reads against the compressed packet length slhc_uncompress() parses a VJ-compressed TCP header by advancing a pointer through the packet via decode() and pull16(). Neither helper bounds-checks against isize, and decode() masks its return with & 0xffff so it can never return the -1 that callers test for -- those error paths are dead code. A short compressed frame whose change byte requests optional fields lets decode() read past the end of the packet. The over-read bytes are folded into the cached cstate and reflected into subsequent reconstructed packe

slip: reject VJ receive packets on instances with no rstate array

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: slip: reject VJ receive packets on instances with no rstate array slhc_init() accepts rslots == 0 as a valid configuration, with the documented meaning of 'no receive compression'. In that case the allocation loop in slhc_init() is skipped, so comp->rstate stays NULL and comp->rslot_limit stays 0 (from the kzalloc of struct slcompress). The receive helpers do not defend against that configuration. slhc_uncompress() dereferences comp->rstate[x] when the VJ header carries an explicit connection ID, and slhc_remember() later assigns cs = &comp->rstate[...] after only comparin

    netfilter: nfnetlink_osf: fix divide-by-zero in OSF_WSS_MODULO

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_osf: fix divide-by-zero in OSF_WSS_MODULO nf_osf_match_one() computes ctx->window % f->wss.val in the OSF_WSS_MODULO branch with no guard for f->wss.val == 0. A CAP_NET_ADMIN user can add such a fingerprint via nfnetlink; a subsequent matching TCP SYN divides by zero and panics the kernel. Reject the bogus fingerprint in nfnl_osf_add_callback() above the per-option for-loop. f->wss is per-fingerprint, not per-option, so the check must run regardless of f->opt_num (including 0). Also reject wss.wc >= OSF_WSS_MAX; nf_osf_match_one() already treats that a

openvswitch: cap upcall PID array size and pre-size vport replies

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openvswitch: cap upcall PID array size and pre-size vport replies The vport netlink reply helpers allocate a fixed-size skb with nlmsg_new(NLMSG_DEFAULT_SIZE, ...) but serialize the full upcall PID array via ovs_vport_get_upcall_portids(). Since ovs_vport_set_upcall_portids() accepts any non-zero multiple of sizeof(u32) with no upper bound, a CAP_NET_ADMIN user can install a PID array large enough to overflow the reply buffer, causing nla_put() to fail with -EMSGSIZE and hitting BUG_ON(err < 0). On systems with unprivileged user namespaces enabled (e.g., Ubuntu default),
