@fastify/middie vulnerable to middleware bypass via deprecated ignoreDuplicateSlashes option
@fastify/middie versions 9.3.1 and earlier are vulnerable to middleware bypass when the deprecated Fastify ignoreDuplicateSlashes option is enabled. The middleware path matching logic does not account for duplicate slash normalization performed by Fastify's router, allowing requests with duplicate slashes to bypass middleware authentication and authorization checks. This only affects applications using the deprecated ignoreDuplicateSlashes option. Upgrade to @fastify/middie 9.3.2 to fix this issue. There are no workarounds other than disabling the ignoreDuplicateSlashes option.
@fastify/middie vulnerable to middleware authentication bypass in child plugin scopes
@fastify/middie versions 9.3.1 and earlier do not register inherited middleware directly on child plugin engine instances. When a Fastify application registers authentication middleware in a parent scope and then registers child plugins with @fastify/middie, the child scope does not inherit the parent middleware. This allows unauthenticated requests to reach routes defined in child plugin scopes, bypassing authentication and authorization checks. Upgrade to @fastify/middie 9.3.2 to fix this issue. There are no workarounds.
@fastify/static vulnerable to path traversal in directory listing
@fastify/static versions 8.0.0 through 9.1.0 allow path traversal when directory listing is enabled via the list option. The dirList.path() function resolves directories outside the configured static root using path.join() without a containment check. A remote unauthenticated attacker can obtain directory listings for arbitrary directories accessible to the Node.js process, disclosing directory and file names. File contents are not disclosed. Upgrade to @fastify/static 9.1.1 to fix this issue. As a workaround, disable directory listing by removing the list option from the plugin configuration.
@fastify/static vulnerable to route guard bypass via encoded path separators
@fastify/static versions 8.0.0 through 9.1.0 decode percent-encoded path separators (%2F) before filesystem resolution, while Fastify's router treats them as literal characters. This mismatch allows attackers to bypass route-based middleware or guards that protect files served by @fastify/static. For example, a route guard on a protected path can be circumvented by encoding the path separator in the URL. Upgrade to @fastify/static 9.1.1 to fix this issue. There are no workarounds.
ApostropheCMS: sanitize-html allowedTags Bypass via Entity-Decoded Text in nonTextTags Elements
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. A regression introduced in commit 49d0bb7, included in versions 2.17.1 of the ApostropheCMS-maintained sanitize-html package bypasses allowedTags enforcement for text inside nonTextTagsArray elements (textarea and option). ApostropheCMS version 4.28.0 is affected through its dependency on the vulnerable sanitize-html version. The code at packages/sanitize-html/index.js:569-573 incorrectly assumes that htmlparser2 does not decode entities inside these elements and skips escaping, but htmlparser2 10.x does decode entities before passing text to the ontext callback. As a result,
Information Disclosure via `choices`/`counts` Query Parameters Bypassing publicApiProjection Field Restrictions
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions 4.28.0 and prior contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the choices and counts query parameters of the REST API, where these query builders execute MongoDB distinct() operations that bypass the publicApiProjection restrictions intended to limit which fields are exposed publicly. The choices and counts parameters are processed via applyBuildersSafely before the projection is applied, and MongoDB's distinct operation does not respect projections, returning all distinct values directly. The results are returned in the API response without any filtering against
ApostropheCMS: Stored XSS in SEO Fields Leads to Authenticated API Data Exposure in ApostropheCMS
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions 4.28.0 and prior contain a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in SEO-related fields (SEO Title and Meta Description), where user-controlled input is rendered without proper output encoding into HTML contexts including <title> tags, <meta> attributes, and JSON-LD structured data. An attacker can inject a payload such as "></title><script>alert(1)</script> to break out of the intended HTML context and execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of any authenticated user who views the affected page. This can be leveraged to perform authenticated API requests, acce
ApostropheCMS: Stored XSS via CSS Custom Property Injection in `@apostrophecms/color-field` Escaping Style Tag Context
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions 4.28.0 and prior contain a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the @apostrophecms/color-field module, where color values prefixed with -- bypass TinyColor validation intended for CSS custom properties, and the launder.string() call performs only type coercion without stripping HTML metacharacters. These unsanitized values are then concatenated directly into <style> tags both in per-widget style elements rendered for all visitors and in the global stylesheet rendered for editors, with the output marked as safe HTML. An editor can inject a value which closes th
ApostropheCMS: publicApiProjection Bypass via `project` Query Builder in Piece-Type REST API
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions 4.28.0 and prior contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the getRestQuery method of the @apostrophecms/piece-type module, where the method checks whether a MongoDB projection has already been set before applying the admin-configured publicApiProjection. An unauthenticated attacker can supply a project query parameter in the REST API request, which is processed by applyBuildersSafely before the permission check, pre-populating the projection state and causing the publicApiProjection to be skipped entirely. This allows disclosure of any field on publicly querya
ApostropheCMS: User Enumeration via Timing Side Channel in Password Reset Endpoint
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions 4.28.0 and prior contain a timing side-channel vulnerability in the password reset endpoint (/api/v1/@apostrophecms/login/reset-request) that allows unauthenticated username and email enumeration. When a user is not found, the handler returns after a fixed 2-second artificial delay, but when a valid user is found, it performs a MongoDB update and SMTP email send with no equivalent delay normalization, producing measurably different response times. The endpoint also accepts both username and email via an $or query, and has no rate limiting as the existing checkLoginAtt
Mafintosh's protocol-buffers-schema is vulnerable to prototype pollution
JavaScript is vulnerable to prototype pollution in Mafintosh's protocol-buffers-schema Version 3.6.0, where an attacker may alter the application logic, bypass security checks, cause a DoS or achieve remote code execution.
@fastify/reply-from vulnerable to connection header abuse enabling stripping of proxy-added headers
@fastify/reply-from v12.6.1 and earlier and @fastify/http-proxy v11.4.3 and earlier process the client's Connection header after the proxy has added its own headers via rewriteRequestHeaders. This allows attackers to retroactively strip proxy-added headers from upstream requests by listing them in the Connection header value. Any header added by the proxy for routing, access control, or security purposes can be selectively removed by a client. @fastify/http-proxy is also affected as it delegates to @fastify/reply-from.
Upgrade to @fastify/reply-from v12.6.2 or @fastify/http-proxy v11.4.4 or later.
@fastify/express vulnerable to middleware path doubling causing authentication bypass in child plugin scopes
@fastify/express v4.0.4 and earlier contains a path handling bug in the onRegister function that causes middleware paths to be doubled when inherited by child plugins. When a child plugin is registered with a prefix that matches a middleware path, the middleware path is prefixed a second time, causing it to never match incoming requests. This results in complete bypass of Express middleware security controls, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting, for all routes defined within affected child plugin scopes. No special configuration or request crafting is required.
Upgrade to @fastify/express v4.0.5 or later.
@fastify/express vulnerable to middleware authentication bypass via URL normalization gaps (duplicate slashes and semicolons)
Impact@fastify/express v4.0.4 and earlier fails to normalize URLs before passing them to Express middleware when Fastify router normalization options are enabled. This allows complete bypass of path-scoped authentication middleware via duplicate slashes when ignoreDuplicateSlashes is enabled, or via semicolon delimiters when useSemicolonDelimiter is enabled. In both cases, Fastify router normalizes the URL and matches the route, but @fastify/express passes the original un-normalized URL to Express middleware, which fails to match and is skipped. An unauthenticated attacker can access protected routes by manipulating the URL path.

MCP Server Kubernetes has Argument Injection in its port_forward tool via space-splitting
mcp-server-kubernetes is a Model Context Protocol server for Kubernetes cluster management. Versions 3.4.0 and prior contain an argument injection vulnerability in the port_forward tool in src/tools/port_forward.ts, where a kubectl command is constructed via string concatenation with user-controlled input and then naively split on spaces before being passed to spawn(). Unlike all other tools in the codebase which correctly use array-based argument passing with execFileSync(), port_forward treats every space in user-controlled fields (namespace, resourceType, resourceName, localPort, targetPort) as an argument boundary, allowing an attacker to
### Summary
XSS sanitization is incomplete, some attributes are missing such as `oncontentvisibilityautostatechange=`. This allows for the email preview to render HTML that executes arbitrary JavaScript,
### Details
Sanitization is implemented here:

With `allowedAttributes: false`, all attributes are allowed through `sanitize-html`. Even dangerous ones like `oncontentvisibilityautostatechange=`. The `DANGEROUS_ATTRIBUTES` array tries to handle this by denying more attributes after the fact, but this list is incomplete. I copied all
Novu has SSRF via conditions filter webhook bypasses validateUrlSsrf() protection
## Summary
The conditions filter webhook at `libs/application-generic/src/usecases/conditions-filter/conditions-filter.usecase.ts` line 261 sends POST requests to user-configured URLs using raw `axios.post()` with no SSRF validation. The HTTP Request workflow step in the same codebase correctly uses `validateUrlSsrf()` which blocks private IP ranges. The conditions webhook was not included in this protection.
## Root Cause
`conditions-filter.usecase.ts` line 261:
```typescript
return await axios.post(child.webhookUrl, payload, config).then((response) => {
return response.data as Record<string, unknown>;
});
```
No call to `validateUrlSs
MCPHub in versions below 0.11.0 is vulnerable to authentication bypass. Some endpoints are not protected by authentication middleware, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to perform actions in the name of other users and using their privileges.
SSH/SCP option injection allowing local RCE in @aiondadotcom/mcp-ssh
## Impact
A crafted `hostAlias` argument such as `-oProxyCommand=...` was passed to `ssh`/`scp` without an argument terminator. SSH interprets arguments starting with `-` as options regardless of position, so the option-injection caused SSH to execute the attacker-supplied `ProxyCommand` **locally** on the machine running the MCP server — before any network connection. This bypassed the documented protection of `# @password:` annotations and exposed local SSH keys, browser cookies, other MCP server credentials, and anything else readable by the server process.
A second local-RCE vector existed on Windows: `spawn(..., { shell: true })` was u
A vulnerability was identified in OpenAI Codex CLI v0.23.0 and before that enables code execution through malicious MCP (Model Context Protocol) configuration files. The attack is triggered when a user runs the codex command inside a malicious or compromised repository. Codex automatically loads project-local .env and .codex/config.toml files without requiring user confirmation, allowing attackers to embed arbitrary commands that execute immediately.
